WE MISS YOU MR. WARMTH...
Just as you would expect. I gave it as a Christmas present, and all you could hear from the person in the next room was rolling laughter--and he was all alone! I didn't get to read the whole book, but just read what you can access from Amazon. The letters to Kirk and Michael Douglas are hysterical. He was one of the greats and is sorely missed.

Great Expectations
I'm a huge Don Rickles fan. When I was growing up I'd see him on different shows including the Dean Martin Roasts. He was a very funny man. And even as a kid I got what his humor was all about. I've enjoyed reading his letters. So funny.

Fun Read!
Great Read! Funny book, I can actually hear Rickles voice when reading this book, what a great way to remember such a great comedian.

It's typical Rickles, but not that great
If you like Rickles' brand of humor, you're in good company with this book, but for me, I'd rather hear him being funny in person. This book is nothing more than a collection of funny anecdotal stories/jokes that are written in the style of letters postmarked to various celebrities. Originally, I thought these letters were actual real letters he wrote to his famous friends, which I think would have made for some good reading because even if they weren't funny, at least we'd get some more insight to this man. However, the letters are not real letters and some of them are written to people that have been dead for hundreds of years and/or people Rickles' never met. Of course, he never claims anything other than that fact, so I couldn't be too hard on him.Only three stars were given because while the book comes up short when compared to Rickles' Book: A Memoir , it's still a funny read for any Rickles fan. But in reality, you can safely put this item last on your list of Rickles material to check out.

like me. That said
Enjoyable reading, especially for Rickle's big fans, like me.That said, the Rickle's in this book is obviously a senior citizen and not the the quick- witted biting humorist of old.Half the letters were funny, the other half just cute.

Review of Rickle's Letters
I've been a Don Rickles fan for over 30 years. Sitcoms, movies, especially the Dean Martin roasts. Had previously read his other book which was more of an autobiography. I liked the premise of this book and the format. I would recommend this book to everyone who is a fan of the "Rat Pack" and entertainers of the 60's and 70's!

Disappointing
It seems that much of Rickles' humour depends on hearing him deliver it to an audience. Although many of his comments are amusing I found they landed poorly when written.
