Upside: Very inexpensive plant labels. Much thicker than I expected, should last a couple of seasons. Marker can be removed with a paper towel with nail polish remover. There are several hundred of them plus an appropriate marker. A sharpie works well too.Downside: They simply stick in the dirt so it is easy for children to remove them and then you’ve got an unknown plant variety you are trying to sell.

so far they seem sturdy, pen works well, writing has stayed on plant tags. good value, lots of plant tags!

Just what I needed so I can tell what the heck I planted. I've read some complaints about the pen not working. No problems here. If the pen stops working, just use a sharpie for crying-out-loud.

The labels are fine. Have not used them yet as I'm getting ready to do seed starters soon. But... I went to mark on the label with the marker, which is two ended by the way, and it is completely dry. It also says on the pen that it is a CD marking pen. One end is a thick felt type end and the other is fine point. Useless. Not sure as to the quality of the plant labels. They have a slight nubbiness to them on each side. I actually bought a "garden marking pen" because reviews of this item said that the pen did not work. Really glad I did. The nubbiness did not alter the way the pen wrote on them. I took off one star because of the pen.

These were sturdy. One side is smooth and other has texture. The marker didn’t last long at all. Any permanent marker will work.

Great buy, great price, great amount.Plastic , easy to write on, comes with permanent marker/pen. Might smudge immediately after writing, but doesn’t smudge after it dries.

These are sturdy enough and work well with a sharpie marker. It looked like they were supposed to come with a marking pen but I didn't get one. Oh well...I'm glad to have the labels.
