DEMETER Natural Perfume Spray Cologne for Women and Men, Thunderstorm, 1 oz

Ok, so part of the problem is that thunderstorms (rain in general) smells differently depending on your location. Water molecules don't smell, it's what they carry in the storm. An urban thunderstorm is very different then a country thunderstorm - let alone different continents, etc. Grass/plants, flowers, cement, pollutants or inland/outland can all change the smell of storms. So, it depends on what you're use to smelling. That's why some reviews say it smells nothing like it and some say how did they get a thunderstorm in a bottle. Thunderstorms carry the smell of their environment. It's definitely a wet earth/soil smell. First, I sprayed it on a T-shirt so my scent/skin didn't mix with it. On cloth, it's something like walking into a greenhouse. If you've ever dealt with wet potting soil, it's got that "kick" that wet dirt can have. It literally smells like wet potting soil when you first open up the bag, because that's my experience with this particular smell. I have good associations with that smell, because I love plants. So, my own personal senses say it's pleasant. I will update on longevity of smell. The problem is that you're going to have to smell it for yourself and see if it's the smell you're use to/associated with thunderstorms. Depends on your personal experience mixed with your memories of this particular smell. Five stars because it does not smell at all like soapy synthetic rain, which most products end up doing. It does have a wet earth scent. I would try other products of the Demeter brand for that alone.

This scent takes a bit to settle on my skin, but it smells so good. I like to pair it with a fresh scent so it smells like a rainy day. It is an oil, so keep that in mind. If you don’t like earthy scents, this is t for you. I really enjoy it and wear it often.

I guess it's fine. Yeah, it has an ozone scent, but it's not much, and doesn't last long Light and small, good for on-the-go, but ain't worth it, IMO. Spend a couple bucks more and get smth better.

I very much dislike the smell of this alone. I was expecting more of a rain, ozone, cold smell but this smells like dirt. Wet, almost moldy soil. Like what you find under a rock or under a pile of leaves. I was about to toss this on Mercari but then I layered it under Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche aaand now I love it. Under Chanel it gives this almost musky natural smell. Like when your in love and smell someone and it their sweat/ body smells good to you. It’s almost sexy. If you got this and you don’t like it try it directly on skin under a couple fresh scents and see if you can get a good combo (

This fragrance alone is SUPER niche. Like a fresh, lightly damp bag of potting soil right after coming back from your big box or gardening store. I've just got it in the mail, but whether it lasts a long time, or needs a pick-me-up every hour or two, I WILL be buying more. Especially the 4oz spray also by Demeter. If you want a more true-rain combo, I'd heavily recommend Derek Lam 10 Crosby's Rain Day. These two together smell like you've gone outside right after a storm. Slightly fresh and sweet from the greenery being sprayed mixed with newly-damp dirt. The scent of a slip n' slide at your, or a friend's birthday party after the lawn's been cut. Also reminds me of a fresh river or lake right during a mid-day shower. This pairing is AMAZING.

Hands down the most amazing product in their lineup. It's odd at first because it smells so real but this truly smells like walking through a damp Forest right after a lovely thunderstorm and is so refreshing. My two main complaints are the complete lack of longevity and the spray nozzle not giving a mist spray but a teeny tiny squirt. If this had any kind of longevity I would buy it in bulk.

I’ve just begun my journey into niche perfumes and this is the 2nd petrichor perfume I’ve purchased. I really like it. I think it smells much more like rain and dirt than the other petrichor perfume I’ve purchased. If you don’t like the smells of moss and dirt, don’t buy this lol but I think it’s refreshing and makes me feel exactly like I’m in the forest after it rains. Not sure about longevity yet but I think this is a good price for this fragrance.

Purchased for my niece. It lasts all day and is such a mild fresh scent!

Petrichor und Ozon, genau wie ein Sommergewitter! Da es ein Cologne ist, ist der Duft nicht sehr haltbar, dafür sprüht man dann eben nochmal nach, was bei dem Preis vollkommen okay ist.

Una fragancia especial, con elementos de preticor y hierba mojada.

Alles bestens, gerne wieder. Der Duft erinnert an ein bevorstehendes Gewitter. Feuchte Erde, Regen und frische Luft!

Ricorda davvero il profumo della pioggia, molto meglio di Petrichor, ma ha una durata minima.

爽やかな香りではあるが、雷雨を感じさせるかというとそうではないと思う。 もう少し使ってみようとおもいます
