Once I figured out how to separate the speaker assembly from the silver headphone "arm" (you pull them apart...very gingerly!), the installation was easy. The pads are much larger and thicker than the original pads. This makes them more comfortable but may affect the sound quality -- it seems a bit muted and maybe missing some treble, but I did not do any careful comparisons.
