Smashed on first use
No fault of the tool. Like many youtube reviewers of touch probes I managed to smash it. Maybe I just wanted to take it apart. Between Mach4 CNC software, Pokey CNCdriver and my DIY machine with aged operator it was inevitable. Tried to make a safe fixture but by the time it was strong enough to not move from the probe it was to stiff and I was to slow to stop the destruction. The design is elegant and quit robust. Electrical contact parts are gold plated. The parts I broke were sacrificed to save the rest of the assembly and I have already ordered both and received one. In the meantime I 3D printed a fixture to J B weld the probe and holder as in the pictures. The builtin alignment mechanism had enough adjustment for me to true out the tip. It still exceeded the spec repeatability!. I plan on making a 3/8 inch base to replace the 8mm for fitting into an R-8 holder.

mine was defective but had great support team.
something was wrong with holding calibration on the one i received. contacted support and were very nice, we tried a few things to see if we could figure out what was going on but in the end we couldn't figure it out and was issued a refund. aside from the issue i had the product seamed very sold and worked with no issues with acorn cnc, probe protect and everything worked.

Great
Just have to varify before use. It was .007 out. Dialed it in to less than .0005 run out.
