Sichuan pepper is addictive. Literally. The dopamine hit is significant and coupled with good fatty energy from peanuts, these are better than energy drinks to stay up to finish a project, IF your palate and digestive system can handle them. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea. These are made with chili oil and added corns to crunch on, so they are still a little hot-spicy on top of the tingle/numb... buyer beware. They suggest pairing with beer or soda for good reason, the carbonation only intensifies the effect and leveled them up big time for me. I will in the future portion them into a smaller bowl, as I was so overtaken with the pleasure that I finished the entire can in one sitting with a bottle of bitter orange soda and a can of NA Heineken. My digestive system did not thank me for that the next day.... So learn from my folly. If you crave that one of a kind sensation, your self-limiting power will be tested. All that to say.... These are freaking awesome! Could I make them myself? Absolutely. But for the convenience of popping a can for something truly unique and conversation starting... judge the value for yourself. I could also see chopping them up and making cucumber salads, noodle bowls and super dope pickled eggs...

These are honestly so good on a charcuterie board. I put them out with cheese, meats, olives, and beer and everyone kept asking what they were. The Szechuan peppercorns give this super unique tingly/mouth-numbing feeling that's addictive but NOT spicy. The peanuts are huge, crunchy, and actually taste fresh unlike a lot of packaged peanuts. Savory, crunchy, great with drinks, and dangerously easy to finish a whole can in one sitting. If you like Sichuan pepper or just want something different for hosting, definitely try these. If you want extra numbing chew the peppercorns in the can.

Numb your mouth (like novocaine) but beyond that, not a ton of flavor. Big, fresh peanuts. Hardly any broken. High quality.

I am addicted to these!! I love the sichuan seasoning - it really is "tingly." THe peanuts themselves are large and crunchy. Fun and delicious snack!

Eaten a few at a time, these taste like unremarkable very mildly spicy peanuts with none of the numbing effects at all. Eaten in a large handful, they taste like peanuts coated in pepper oil; you do get some of the flavor of the pepper itself, but it's not really a great standalone flavor. If you chew and swallow the dried peppers that are mixed in with the peanuts, you'll get the numbing/buzzing effect, but I don't recommend doing that. You know the feeling when your arm falls asleep, or if you drink highly carbonated water? It's like that, except it's your entire throat. You'll sit there swallowing uncontrollably as the effects linger for several minutes. 2/5 stars: the product is exactly as described, it just isn't an enjoyable product. Also the price is crazy considering it's probably a dollar's worth of bulk peanuts and a few cents worth of dried peppers. There's a reason it's only sold in a two pack; nobody would buy it twice otherwise.

STOP! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE GARBAGE NUTS. First of all, if you jam enough into your mouth to actually get it to tingle, the taste will hit you and make you want to spit it out. It is almost as if they left the saponins in and let's be honest, WHY DO YOU NEED TO ADD SUCRALOSE (aka weedkiller aka Splenda) into the mix? This product was made by folks that do not understand how things work. They think they can add a bunch of garbage into a brine to soak the nuts into and then throw in enough Sichuan peppercorns to also give you the actual pepper when it does not live up to the hype. I just CLEARED the rating so hopefully a 0 stars rating will perform properly. Bottom line, you want thrills, then go make your own tingly nuts, leave these god-awful things for the rats and mice to eat... I also see absolutely NO reason whatsoever to include sucralose into the mix. I guess the garbage brine was so terrible tasting that they had to sweeten it up a bit just to make it palatable... I probably should have returned mine, but I took them to work for those with less taste buds then myself to consume... Plus I did not feel right about returning nuts just because I did not like them. They will have an odd bitter/ citrus taste when you chew on too many though. If you still buy these after knowing that they are absolute garbage, then you deserve what you get. Oh and I am not allowed to leave 0 stars it seems so we are back to 1...

These are really REALLY good. They check all the boxes- texture and spice are on point without being overwhelming. easy 5-star recommendation.

The spicy is nice, but no depth of flavor whatsoever. Rather To much like a cheap candy treat.
