Awesome Pictures and Facts
Curiosity: Mars Rover book was such a delight to open up! It is filled with large, bold pictures on every page, accompanied by interesting facts and information. Paper is high quality, fairly thick pages. Lots of dramatic, black backgrounds with pictures and diagrams. As for the text, it makes a great book to read aloud, leaves room for discussion, and is just as great for some quiet reading alone. I bought it for my 8 year old grandson who loves all things space. It is not too hard a read for him, although some words posed challenges. Younger kids will need more guidance if trying to read alone. I'd recommend this book for any child or teen who shows interest in space exploration. I loved it! 5 Stars! My one negative - there is a strong ink/chemical smell when you first open the book. I left it open to air it for about a week before wrapping it, changing the pages every few days to let them air out. If the person receiving the book is sensitive to chemical-like odors, this may not be suitable for them. Otherwise, I highly recommend this absolutely wonderful book!

Good age-appropriate text
I got this because I live in a NASA stronghold and I figured my kids' school library could use a copy. I expected what I've seen in a lot of topic-driven kids' books, which is a mismatch between the topic, the illustrations, the volume of the text, and the complexity of the vocabulary - writing children's books is harder than it looks! So many authors over-explain things and end up with a paragraph a page, which is way too much for a picture book.I was pleasantly surprised, then, that this story hit a great sweet spot between "educational" and "short/simple enough for kids to understand." My 6yo was happy for me to read the whole thing to her in one sitting, but on further reads I was able to get her to ask me more questions and we talked about aspects of the story that interested in her. This would still make for a too-long storytime book for a class, probably, but I'd guess most middle elementary readers who were interested in the topic could make their way through it just fine.

Great For All Ages - A Worthy Addition To Any Young Persons Library
This is a fantastic book! It’s a lot bigger with more pages than I expected and the illustrations are really great. What I like best is that while the book is a first person narrative from the rover, that’s only a fraction of the text in the book. Most pages have information ranging from basic to more advanced that can be woven into the story or completely skipped over without losing any of the core story. This definitely makes it hard to put this in an age group because it’s suitable for reading to a toddler and also consumable by young adults. This is a great addition to any bookshelf.

Awesome book for kids interested in space!
Bought this for a 4 y/o who is very interested in space and he LOVED the book. Pictures are great and it’s very informative while still appealing to children. I would highly recommend this book if you have a child who is interested in space/STEM.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Highly recommended!
This book is everything we expected it to be. It goes into details about Mars missions and what the rover does in a fun way for kids to learn. Great art work and very engaging. My five year old was completely into every bit of the story. We only read it once a couple weeks ago and he's still talking about the story, however this is a book that will never get old!

Not for the fidgety
Great illustrations! Tons of great info. Not a light read. It reads almost like a second grade text book. The rover is not anthropomorphized. Good for kids who love robots and/ or space, but might be tough for little ones with short attention spans.

Good story about Curiosity.
Great story about the process of sending a rover to Mars. Has decent detail for older kids that can be skipped over for younger kids who just like space / rockets.

Very interesting, quite technical, awesome pictures
For any kids who love mars, space or mars rovers this is perfect. The pictures/paintings are exceptional. It's quite a long book, so not a quick read but a worthy read still. It's a story but gets quite technical at times with lots of detail, which both my kids enjoyed, although my youngest (3.5) probably didn't understand it all, he still got most of it. My6 year old found it fascinating. It's certainly a book that will last a few year

This book is a visual dream for any young child ...
This book is a visual dream for any young child looking to immerse themselves in the wonderment of Space exploration. The Curiosity at time of launch was such an inspiration to many young people, this book does it the ultimate justice to keep its legacy interesting and inspiring for future generations. The content is extremely informative and obviously is extensively researched, so you know what is inside is no fabricated in any way. The illustrations are so expertly designed you really do feel an emotional connection with the little rover by the end. It encouraged me, a man in my late 20's to go and research as much as I could about this marvelous human achievement. This book should be in ALL schools and space museums (including any Educational centre in general). This is exactly the type of entertainment that needs to be released for our youngest generations to peruse.A solid 10/10. This book is going to do wonders.

Amazing book
This book is amazing, my son normally struggles to listen to stories so long without getting distracted, but he loved this book. I must admit I enjoyed reading it to him as it is interesting and written in an engaging way. I would definitely recommend this book.

Brilliant book, I used this with my class at school. The pictures and size of the book meant they could all see it at once. Very well written and informative - a thumbs up from a happy teacher and a happy class of 27 children!
