I bought this to replace a branded reMarkable stylus that my dog ate. It writes as well as the original, with a similar size and heft. My original was a little glitchy, but was quickly replaced with a properly functioning device. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another, if I should leave this one where my dog can get it. I can't say how it compares to the branded stylus for more creative users, but if you write with it, it is every bit as good as the one that was made for reMarkable. Just keep it away from your doggy.

Overall a very good, compatible (R2) and affordable alternative- slightly sleeker and slippery feel on the hand and tablet but very easy to get used to. PLUS- Customer service is incredibly responsive and eager to help.

Not only is the pen excellent, the customer service is superb. I did have a situation where the pen fell (alright, I might have dropped it) and, without a question, they replaced it under the lifetime warranty. Highly recommended!

EDIT: I'm leaving my original review since it does reflect my experience, but Group Vertical has great customer support and helped resolve the issue pretty quickly. I ended up ordering a second pen since I liked the first one a lot.Worked really, really well for exactly three months. It's lighter and slightly longer than the original reMarkable marker plus, but feels great to write with though the erase is less precise. The problem is that, literally just moment ago, it marker suddenly stopped working. The eraser still works, and using my fingers still works, but my reMarkable no longer registers the pen. I've restarted my reMarkable 2, tried different pages, different documents, different modes, but nothing has worked.It's a shame. I really loved it until right now. I'd even consider getting another, but a failure like this with 0 warning makes me just want to buy the official pen.

Good quality and priced below the remarkable product. As a matter of fact, I ordered the remarkable stylus first but it would not work because my remarkable is first generation.

Managed to lose my original ReMarkable pen in airport security. The $129 to replace is ridiculous so I looked for some cheaper options. This pen works fine, doesn’t have just the same feel as the ReMarkable but it’s still comfortable to use. The tips that come with it lack the friction of the ReMarkable one so they tend to “skate” across the screen a little making writing harder. However, I then discovered that the ReMarkable tips fit this pen and I’m back to the same performance of the original!$129 for the original Vs $50 for this and use the other tip. Until ReMarkable can provide a more secure method of attaching the pen to the book for those of us that travel frequently, this is the direction I’ll be going in!!
