Fit perfect used 2 1/8 coupling to connect to original 2001 Tacoma original exhaust cut old one right behind welded brace it fit and worked perfect

Easy to install was a direct replacement and is quiet as the original used to be.

Seems to be good value for the money. It probably states in the product desciption, and I missed it, but you will need hardware to connect this to existing exhaust. Just an FYI so you don't get stuck driving to town later (just go ahead & order it at same time).

Put on my 2002 Tacoma Xtra Cab 4x4 I had a aftermarket loud exhaust that was annoying welded this on and made it stock like quiet I’ve had it on prob 3-4 years now no issues but I think the tail pipe didn’t fit all that well out the back but I cut it off after the axel like I planned so all good

First of all - this is exact fit for 2002 Tacoma. It’s a great price for a muffler. I only give four stars because I replaced this exact muffler that was only 1.5 years old and started to rattle. The one before it lasted at least six years before rusting out. I hope to get more than 1.5 years out of this guy. I sprayed it with high heat spray paint - maybe the is will help with rust prevention? Who knows. I’ll give five stars if I can get five years out of it. Where I live that’s pretty good considering how much SALT WE USE!! UPDATE - got one year and one month and it’s already rattling. Such a cheap POS, I’ll probably buy it again because it’s so cheap. And then a year later wonder what the hell did I buy this thing for?!

Muffler looked great in the box, I put the muffler and tail pipe under the truck and joined them with a 2 1/8 ID X 2 1/8 ID coupling and used clamps but it leaked so if you go the clamp rout Maby use the exhaust sealer on the joints, I will be taking the clamps off and welding it up that’s the best way to do it, Inlet side of new muffler at bottom we’re the existing exhaust and the stub off the new one Meet had a hole in it and exhaust leakes out of it I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that but I will weld that up also, for the price it’s not a bad deal, it sits right back in the existing hangers And sound quiet other than the leaks. Would give it a better star review but to have it back to original it needs work but for the price I can’t complain to much.
