The reviews for this lamp are all over the place so I wanted to set the record straight. This is a quality lamp. My wife and I each have one. We use them especially at night for low red-shifted light to amp down before bedtime and then blue-shifted bright light in the morning to anchor our circadian rhythms. The lights excel at both of these things and they have all kinds of variations in between including color temperature, brightness, and a timer. The morning bright light is really good when the days are short and the sun comes up 2 hours after we wake up. It is literally like a big mug of coffee and just launches us into our days. The lamps are super easy to assemble. 2 screws and you're pretty much done. The remote works great. The base is heavy and the lamp is very stable on carpeting. Overall, it does exactly what the manufacturer's description says. We're super pleased with the purchase.

Tips over cuz stand is weak and flimsy.I like the light. But not sure I'll keep it due to the stand. I shouldn't have to deal with a lamp that tips overall the time. :/

Really happy with this light. The unit is very responsive to the remote, the stand is great because I can remove one leg and have it sit shorter when I want to lay down on the couch, and taller when I'm at my desk.Great night time reading light as well with the warm and dim settings. I would recommend this to anyone with seasonal depression or anyone who wants a quality standing light.

Buy it! I waited way to long. This one has multiple settings and I love the remote. Even the pups are drawn to it and enjoy it!

Really appreciated they took the time to read my review and make it right.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like a lot about this lamp but the durability is awful for the price point. I have used the lamp for less than an hour each morning. 3 months in, the light face started to click and get very hot in one corner. 4 months in, the light face started to flicker. I don't know whether it's safe to use and I'm past the return window.

Never had a lamp screw this up before. When you first plug it in it turns on. as the on off is a software switch not a hard switch this means anytime it gains power it will turn on. have it in your room and the power goes out then comes back on it will be turned on, even if it was turned off.

This lamp shines strongly in pure white or amber. The multi-segmented base allows height adjustable to be on floor or tabletop. I remove one segment which makes it perfect to lay it on floor while one sits in a chair in front of it. I use it mainly to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder, 20 minutes on winter mornings. Sometimes I use the amber light setting in tabletop mode to make the room cheerier at night.
