My 2002 saturn L200 had a recall which replaced the brake light bulb socket, wiring harness, and mounting for the bulb socket. The light socket received is not the same locking/retention notches as the post recall bracket on my vehicle. The new socket does use the same bulb and does fit in the post recall mounting bracket on the brake light housing, however it does not lock in place, the only thing keeping it from rotating and coming out is the thickness and pliability of the gasket. I went ahead and used it, time will till if it stays in place or not.

Used these to replace the sockets in the front turn signals on a 2001 GMC 2500. The old sockets couldn't hold the bulb in place anymore so these were a perfect replacement with some solder seal connectors. Haven't had any issues with them and they click into place exactly like the original.

It was stated this fits a 2004 Lexus GX 470 and it does not fit.
