Elitech LMC-210A Refrigerant Charging Scale 330lbs HVAC Freon Scale with APP Wireless Remote Control

I’ve been using this scale for a couple years now. It works great. It’s probably the best scale I’ve used in the Hvac business. If you recommend spending this even over scales like to fieldpiece.

BUYER BEWARE! In my experience, Elitech HVAC equipment seems to be okay, but if you need customer service, you are pretty much out of luck. I have an LMC-210A refrigerant scale. The remote stopped working after only a few uses. Over the last couple years, I have reached out to Elitech to purchase another. I am not even trying to get a warranty replacement. All of my emails have been ignored. Every time I try the line chat, nobody has responded. Even as I write this, the online chat has not responded despite me opening the chat a half hour ago. I've tried through their links on Amazon and through their own web page.

Pros: This scale works well, especially for DIY'ers and occasional use by professionals. The unit is of solid construction and should take some abuse without causing damage. The price is half that of other well known brands that offer the same features. The automatic charging valve is gimmicky but works as instructed.Cons: The app is finicky and needs polishing. Works fine once connected but sometimes requires multiple attempts to connect. The unit has an auto shutoff function which became annoying while charging. I went to observe the indoor air handler while slowly charging 410a into an empty system. By the time I returned the unit had shut off (I assume bc my phone was out of Bluetooth range). After powering back on, the unit reset to zero so I had no idea how much has entered the unit. Good thing I calculated tare and wrote down the remaining refrigerant with each use. Last, the battery compartment seems like it could use better water intrusion protection.

The automactic shut off valve for the Freon amount makes it nice to use. And it cummunicates with my Elitech blu tooth gauges and Android phone. And I like the carrying case for it.

I recently upgraded my scale working on the HVAC field. The only complaint that I have is a little more heavy that I expected to be, but that's precisely what makes it so accurate even in not even surfaces it's really impressive.
