No, this clock is not wooden case. Thanks.

Q: Can you turn the chimes off so that the clock is silent?

Yes you can. I put this on wall in my conference room in middle of western pictures and I did not want to have it chime. You turn volume all the way down and you don’t hear it.

Q: Where can i get a manual for this clock? I lost mine and need to know how to adjust the chimes for time change

In simple way to set up the DST time difference, 1). Remove the melody block AA battery, and set the time to 6:45 remember it is AM. 2). Install the battery into compartment again, then adjust the clock time clockwise directly to the current time it is. That will be okay. Thanks.
