These are great !!!
I'm really enjoying these earbuds. The "custom" molding things didn't work for my ears. Luckily they come with standard earbud inserts. The cable is braided like a steel chain. It looks very cool and seems very sturdy. The 3.5 mm jack is over-sized and seems really solid. Now for the sound. These things sound THICK !!! That's the best word I can think of. I had to tweak my mp3 players eq quite a bit to get them to sound right. The bass is really good and the overall sound is really smooth. Other earbuds I've had with so called "high quality sound" had way too much high end. They would give you a headache if you listened to them for prolonged periods of time. Not these. As I said before, they sound thick and smooth. I can listed to them all day without getting a headache. I ordered the gunmetal color and was pleased to see that the cable was a charcoal color rather than the white cable that appears in the pictures above. I expect these to last a really long time.

Great sound, once you get the right fit...
I'm not a total audiophile, and I don't use these on-stage (not a musician), but I do like to be able to hear the subtleties of the music I listen to, and I like the detail to be crisp enough to avoid any muddying of the sound. Admittedly, at first, I was not impressed with these phones. This is my first set of IEMs, and I found them to be quite uncomfortable, and the bass to be substantially less impressive than I had read (i.e. it was barely audible). Also, the isolation wasn't particularly great. However, after some further experimentation with the different earpieces, I found them to be much more impressive. I had tried out all in-canal attachments (dual-flange, pseudo-custom fit, or whatever, as opposed to the smaller, single flange attachments that also come with the phones) when I first received them, and originally selected the smallest ones - as I mentioned, my first set of IEMs, so I was not accustomed to what they should feel like. After purchasing, I read a couple of reviews from other online sources which stated that either the pseudo-custom in-canal attachments were essentially useless. At one point, when I tired of the uncomfortable, small custom attachments, I tried out the single-flanges - there was a great improvement in overall sound quality, and especially the bass (when properly fitted, you can really feel the bass in your head - obviously just a sensory illusion since the drivers are so small, but it's a nice effect) when a better seal is achieved. However, my left ear canal seems to be shaped pretty awkwardly, and the IEMs tended to loosen over time when I used the single flange attachments, and eventually lost the ever-important isolation seal. So, I went for another trial run through the in-canal attachments and found that, with the right selection (not the smallest ones, obviously, in my case), they were 1) much more comfortable and 2) sounded at least as good as when I first tried the single flanges with the better seal. You do have to get used to setting the in-canal attachments properly, if those are what you choose, though - I read another review where the author said it took them 5-10 mins to get them set properly. I can see that for the first time or if you have selected the wrong size, but once you've got everything figured out, it should only take a few seconds. One other thing - if the main body/driver becomes partially detached or isn't properly set in the silicone attachment, the bass drops to near inaudible. It's easy to get attached properly with the single-flange attachments, but the pseudo-customs can sometimes be a bit finicky. Because of the issues with fitting and the fact that small changes in contact between attachment & driver cause huge changes in sound, I can only give 4 stars. So, in short, I think that these perform really well and are fairly comfortable, but only if the user can put up with some trial and error. It can be a pain to get the right fit, but it's still much more convenient than going to an audiologist and forking up the cash for customs. I can't compare to other in-ear multi-flange phones like the Etymotics etc., but I think these turned out well after some experimentation. As an aside, I originally bought these for the purpose of wearing them under a motorcycle helmet - I am not taking this into account in my rating, since they are not designed for this, but they are not well suited to the task. They stick out pretty far from the ears, and a properly fitting full- or 3/4-face helmet is very snug, so they tend to snag and the positioning gets messed up as you put on a helmet (there's plenty of room for them once it's on, but putting on/taking off the helmet may dislodge them, and there's no way to reach them to adjust once it's on). Probably possible to find a work-around for this, but just a heads up to anyone who would like to use them for the same purpose.

These "in ear monitors" are not that great.
Where do i start, Well first of all i can say that the process of ordering was fairly quick i had ordered these "in ear monitors" monday night do to the fact that my other ears broke. They arrived on wensday around 3:30pm. The packaging was great then we came to the actual unit. Im a drummer ive been playing for about 14 yrs. Im 18 now i also play electric and acoustic guitar, as well as sing but i also know alittle bit about running sound. I can't say the these earphone are "in ear" quality. They sound like you can buy them at Wal-Mart. The sound quality is too dry there is no specific quality there are no lows and there are no highs or mids its just a flat eq, and even at that they are not clear at all. When i hear the lows on my mix they distort as if the bass is boosted, it sounds as if there is no clarity in these ear phones. The tips are alittle annoying they are to soft to insert into your canal, And how can they be custom made tips. Every ear is different like a finger print, so there is no way they make custom fit ear pieces. I've had to make some modifications to the ears because they are not isolating its as if you put reagular universal earphones like the apple ear phones. The wire is ok its not amazing but its not horrible its just ok....the only reason i put two stars and not one was because of the process and packaging other than that nothing from the product. If your looking for great sounding in ear monitors or even really great ear phones for reagular use i would highly recommend the meelectronics m6 they have great sound quality for the price, its a steal and you can also send them to be custom fitted. For the i mego ear phones I would not recommend these ear phones to anyone. These arent that great.
