The Deep

Happy fan of the Deep!
My son is a fan of this show. He really liked this book. He said it had differences from the show, but he liked that it wasn't exactly the same. The graphic novel has six different chapters. The artistry is different than the show, but my son like that also. It is a different way of experiencing the Deep if you are familiar with the show, this doesn't take away from the content of the book though.

Awesome.
Finally a book that's not full of potty humor. No violence or bratty attitudes. An intelligent family going on adventures. My son and I love this book as well as the show on Netflix. Buy!

My daughter loves this so much. She’s five so read it to her. A big plus for me is the very like-able, multicultural family. I wish there were more.

Never seen the show, but we ADORED this all-ages graphic novel
A multi-ethnic family of underwater explorers (a.k.a. science superheroes!), amazingly funny writing, an art style that looks like animation in the best way, and the best pet fish EVER. The Deep started as a comic and became a Netflix series, I think (?), before Boom re-issued this graphic novel in November 2017. It's one of my favorite kids' comics in the past couple years for fun, adventure, and submarine living. If another volume appears, I'll be pre-ordering it for sure.

Good comic for The Deep fans.
Intrigued by this new Sci-Fi CGI underwater TV series I opted to add this book to my collection of The Deep paraphenalia (sorry about spelling). The artwork of the two enclosed stories are darker than the TV series but the Nekton's are still fun to be with as we accompany them aboard a very different looking Aronnax submarine. The quality of this glossy magazine is good and the pictures should give fans something nice to look at after completing the book.A major disappointment for me re the story was that the Aronnax submarine (for me - its like the star ship Enterprise, not just transportation but a charater in its own right) the writers, at this stage in the life of series don't appear to think so. So very few pics of book version of the submarine and apart from a back-drop the mighty and benevolent Aronnax hardly features. Otherwise in the two stories 'There be Dragons' and 'Tartaruga' all revelant characters are present and as are as we have grown to know them on the TV series.Whether you purchase this book will depend on how much of a 'The Deep' nut you are.

Excellent
Absolutely great. Both 'Here Be Dragons' and 'Vanishing Island' are in this book. If you are a fan of the TV show definitely give this a peruse as it is the original idea behind episode 1 and 26 of the first season. Really really cool.
