Navigation Workbook 1210 Tr: For Power-Driven and Sailing Vessels

It is a workbook, not a textbook as it clearly points out in its intro. It was designed to go with the texts provided by the same authors, but it's perfect, maybe even better with the Pyzel or Tursi texts issued with the ASA105 study materials. Why better? I use the Pyzel text and this workbook approaches things from a different perspective, sometimes very different.It has a few errors in the answer sections, but that just made me learn the material better. You will learn a LOT if you go through the entire workbook. The sheer quantity of work will bring a level of understanding and intuition to navigation principles you won't get otherwise.Get this workbook if you're pursuing mastery. If you just want to pass the nav. exam you can do without it, but I'll handle the nav. if we crew together.

This is a great workbook and includes the answers, it is not intended to teach navigation but rather practice what you have been taught else where.

In order to use this workbook, you also need the 1210 Chart, and good luck finding one of those right now.

Big help for me in learning navigation

This product would be awesome but is incomplete for training, there are no plotters charts nothing. Had I known that there were none in this WORKBOOK, I NEVER would have bought it. The book will work but prior knowledge on this I could have bought another product that comes complete or I could have ordered the (real life) items charts that pertain to this book,In addition to this order it took weeks to get here. By the time I realized how long it would take the company stated the disclaimer, basically it will get there when it gets there. I could have ordered from a local company and be all around more satisfied.I would not recommend this excursus book to any learning.
