For a learning toy to get young children's minds active this is good.
The media could not be loaded. For a learning toy to get young children's minds active this is good. This kit is good fun for young kids, needing no batteries it can be pulled out and just used nearly anywhere. The thought process of looking in the book at a challenge with a set number of pieces given to the child to work out a route to the drop off pot is genius, teaching children on planning out the moves required to use all the piece given and then the fun of executing their chosen laid out path with the wind back vehicle to see if they planned it out correctly. The kit is made of decent plastic and the board is rather thick and chunky clicking together strongly, the vibrant colours also add to the fun. You get 3 little balls in different colours "incase you lose a few"My only complaint is that the instructions are mostly in chinese but with the provided images in the book you can clearly see the aim of the game/learning.At £18.99 this is of decent quality and even if the child does not think they are learning while playing all the better so a 5 star product to me.

Love the idea of this puzzle but a little let down
I think as an adult purchasing this puzzle I think the idea of it is actually more promising than the product actually delivers.I like the fact that it's a puzzle solving game to exercise the brain cells and encourage thinking/problem solving but in reality it's difficult to get the children that have played with this engaged with actually sticking with the board/puzzle in the way it is supposed to be played. The box states it's for kids 3+ and with a difficulty rating of 4 stars (out of 5). I'm not sure if this brand has a universal difficulty rating across its toys but I'm not familiar with this brand and so although having a difficulty rating is a really nice idea, I'm not sure it actually means a lot in isolation, especially as the item on Amazon says it's for 4-9 year olds, which is a massive range for this kind of puzzle toy.I personally say to get kids to use it in the way it is designed to be used you'd be better off for kids of age 5 or more (at least).Love the fact that this doesn't require batteries. In a different version it could be 95% wood rather than plastic and would be much more durable. The base board comes in 4 pieces which click together, which is great for portability/storage. What isn't so great is that the plastic is quite brittle and is quickly going to snap in multiple places if this board is assembled and disassembled regularly. All in all as, e.g. a present for something a little bit different, I like the idea of this but it could be better. If you can get your child to use it in the way it is designed it has a lot of different 'puzzles'/routes to solve and has a good amount of replayability but my nephews and nieces didn't engage with this in the way it was intended and relatively quickly lost interest unfortunately.4 stars from me.

The digger is a pull back wind up
The media could not be loaded. The digger is fiddly as it’s a pull back.Lost one of the 3 balls provided within minutes of play and it’s still not turned up. Kept both my children entertained for nearly an hour on first use (12&2).Love stem play for the different imagination patterns that happen and this is definitely something we will continue to use. Thanks.

Too complicated for a 3-4 year old
The media could not be loaded. This puzzle game came with 4 interconnecting base pieces, a small truck, 3 coloured balls, instruction manual and various pieces of shapes to build up the path for the truck to travel on. This is a problem solving game designed for kids to get the balls from a defined point A to B.The seller has aged this game at 4-9 year olds, whilst the box states ages 3 and up. My child is about to turn 4 and this puzzle game was just far too hard for him.The instructions which are in possibly Mandarin and then translated (not all that well) in to English state that the aim is to place the starting shape in one location, the end shape in another and the child is to figure out what shapes to place in between to create a path for the truck to travel. All my child wanted to do was place all the shapes anywhere in the slots and push the truck any which way on the board. It's far too confusing for a young child. The truck is powered by pulling it back to wind it up but by the time my kid had figured that out and went to place the truck on the board, it had already unwound. He didn't understand that he has to hold the brake buttons and then let go once placed on the board. The instruction booklet also gives endless examples of "puzzles" to do and then answers to the puzzles which I think is a waste of time, you can just place the starting and end points anywhere on the board and through trial and error create your path. The marbles are small and slippery and easily roll away on wood flooring which was quite annoying. The base of the game, once put together, is very difficult to take apart, I did snap it a little bit when attempting to put it away.My child didn't understand the game nor did he enjoy playing with it for long unfortunately and the fact it snapped after first use doesn't make it very good quality.
