The NobleEgg Timer Gradually Indicates the Doneness of the Eggs Watch the bright red color changing to white, passing through doneness levels as the water starts to boil. Our detailed video shows the entire process. 3. Remove the Eggs at the Desired Doneness Level When the eggs reach the desired doneness, take out the egg timer and let it cool at room temperature. For soft boiled eggs and medium boiled eggs, cool down the eggs in cold water to prevent further passive cooking.

My beef is with desertcart, the shipper. desertcart has taken to shipping more things in bags due to environmental concerns (which I do support), BUT the packaging too often causes products to arrive damaged. When the damage is severe enough, you need to either replace the item or just return it, which seems to me to defeat the purpose of using the inadequate packaging. The egg timers come secured to a cardboard backing by a plastic shield. The cardboard arrived damaged and badly bent in one corner, and the plastic shield for one timer had torn off so that it was simply loose in this oversized bag. Fortunately, the egg timer itself doesn't seem damaged. I'll need to use them to verify that they are in fact in working condition.

The product itself should work fine. I'm replacing an older one that I loved - they do apparently wear out. I'd rather not have had to buy two, but I can give one to a relative. Great egg timer better than a wall clock because it measures the temperature of the water itself. Really simple for young kids, however they tend to lose interest very quickly.... Boiling water can make it difficult to read
