The Official Soviet AKM Manual Paperback – January 1, 1998

With the internet being so accessible and so much info on it, youtube and other websites alike you really don't need a manual but it is still useful as a means to learn about your rifle. I like it also just for the sake of it being a paper manual and seeing illustrations in spirit to where the rifle came from. To see the training of leading parachuting targets and etc. Not necessary but still interesting to read on.

This actually isn't what I was hoping for. The illustrations are very vague, so much so that if I had been relying solely on this book I wouldn't have been able to field strip my AK. The history part is much better.

Good Information. Mostly like the diagrams and history of the rifle! If you already have knowledge of breakdown. This is just a plus.

If you own an AK type rifle this book is great. Basically a military manual on the weapon and it's accessories. Not a lot of the gun's specifics though. For example, the M-16/M-4 rifle manuals would tell you muzzle velocity, maximum range, etc. That's the only information I would have like to have seen added. That's about the only thing missing here.

Instrutions are good but the illustrations (drawings) are a little rough. This might not be the best guide for an AK-47/AKM novice.

The information contained in this manual is good however most of the illustrations are to dark. They are also not crisp which make it difficult to make out the details. I was disappointed and unable to recommend this product.
