I am a grad student working on the data analysis for my thesis and this book helped me enormously! The problem with other statistics books is that they give data sets and examples that don't relate to types of data that field biologists have to deal with. My biggest problem was figuring out what kind of statistical tests I needed to use for the kind of data that I had collected, and this book answered many of my questions in that area.
