Very good...but wear gloves
I have prepared home made rose ice cream and I needed some color for the ultimate effect! I tried this product and I can tell you that the result was awesome but....make sure to wear gloves while handling the bottle and use a little amount (few drops go a long way). I actually stained my hand.....I panicked since I washed it several times but the color was not coming off....then I used a little bit of alcohol and after few washes it looked better. The best way (but I did not have it in the house) is a mix of vinegar and baking soda. In any case after the first time I am using the gloves just to make sure not to incur in the same situation. The product is great and the ice cream came out perfect with a touch of color, just a blush as I wanted. If you desire a deeper hue, just add more. In any case it was at a reasonable price and just what I expected.

Vibrant, Professional-Grade Color for Bakers
This violet Liqua-Gel transformed my baking projects with its intense, blendable pigment. A single drop delivers a rich lilac, while a quarter teaspoon creates deep grape shades—perfect for macarons, buttercream, and fondant. Unlike liquid dyes, it won’t thin batters or alter textures. The squeeze bottle offers precise control, and the color bakes true without fading. The gel is odorless and tasteless in tested recipes (vanilla cake, royal icing). However, it stains surfaces and skin easily, so handle carefully. At this price point, it outperforms grocery-store alternatives in vibrancy and consistency.A must-have for home bakers and pros alike. Just store upright to prevent leaks!

Vibrant Color-No taste alteration
Vibrant Color--No taste alteration. Needed to use just a moderate amount to get the beautiful color I was looking for. I used this plus some silver edible glitter to make a specialty wine slush!! Turned out better than expected!!!

Worked great!
Pulling off a purple cake is tough, especially when you are covering a red colored pound cake(s), but this worked so well. It took a lot, but by golly, I was pleased and it turned out great. My 14-year old grand always picks out a birthday theme and this year it was purple and red. She sent me a pic, but I knew getting the right purple was going to be tough. I used this in a homemade American buttercream and it worked great.

Not black without heat, and dyes your mouth!
After reading so many positive reviews about how black this is, I did have high expectations...and I did achieve black icing eventually…but won’t be using it.I tested this on a container of store bought buttercream icing before using my homemade buttercream in case it didn’t work.I used about 1 tsp of color and let it sit 24 hours, which produced a dark gray color.I learned from YouTube that you can heat the icing to deepen colors, so I popped it in the microwave for 20 seconds, and it turned BLACK!I did this because I didn’t want to add too much gel and change the texture or taste.Once it cooled in the fridge I stirred it and iced my cake which was a perfectly black hue.I served my trial cake to a couple of friends, and thank the Lord that I did this before our big party…everyone had black lips and teeth!! Also, the next day we all had green blue poop!Needless to say, I will not be serving black icing to my party guests, but I guess it does what it was made to do!
