Compact, ergonomic, great features and power
I've been using cordless drills in my work for decades, and I really love the ergonomics and compact size of this 1/2" chuck Bosch. It handles like a 3/8" drill, but has all the power you would expect from a good 1/2" cordless drill. With the hammer function on, this drill goes through brick and tile like butter. I also love the two new functions; the anti-kickback cut-off, and the clutch cut off. The anti-kickback function turns on automatically when you insert the battery, and if you turn it off, then don't use the drill for about 5 minutes, it comes back on automatically. The bar light above the battery is green when the anti-kickback function is on, and is yellow when it's off. The clutch cut off function shuts off the drill shortly after the clutch begins slipping. This saves wear and tear on the clutch. The light illuminates the work area, and this the drill also is set up for a connectivity upgrade, which can connect to an app. Apparently if you have that installed you can change how long the light stays on, and settings on other features as well. However you don't have to install that, and I likely won't.The charger is unique in that it has two stages of charging. It initially blinks fast for a quick charge up to 80%, at which you can use the battery. If you leave it on the charger it blinks slower, then charges up to 100%. It's also mountable to a wall, which is what I did with mine.Setting the clutch and switching between drill, hammer and screwdriver is very easy. I've used other brands like DeWalt that are sort of difficult to change. The chuck also has a ratchet function, which allows you to tighten it very securely on bits.So as someone that has used all the name brand cordless drills over the years, I very highly recommend this new Bosch cordless drill. I also believe it is well worth the current asking price of around $270, for the drill, two compact 4 Ah batteries, a two-stage charger, and sturdy bag. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's Bosch...it works like a champ!!
I do a lot of wood working and am always driving screws and drilling holes. This kit comes with two batteries, a charger, a carry bag and of course the drill itself. The two batteries are 4Ah rated and have always lasted me for a full day in the shop. The power of the drill is great!! I use it all the time for drilling pocket holes and it will power through hundreds of holes in a single day without breaking a sweat. I don't really use the bag for keeping it in since this drill is always in use so I keep it on a hanger always close at hand. The bag gets used for keeping a set of carry tools in my truck in case I ever need them. I am very pleased with the ergonomics and the brushless design of this tool. Build quality of everything that I've gotten from Bosch has been spot on and this doesn't disappoint. Very happy with this drill!!!

Good quality but not light.
This is a good quality drill/driver set that is well constructed and obviously tough enough to use on a jobsite. As such, it may be overkill for the average homeowner who wants a spare drill for casual tasks. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.The batteries have to be the heaviest batteries of their power rating that I have ever encountered. That may be a good sign for their longevity as they seem to be very well constructed. The charger is easy to use and the batteries charge easily. However, their weight means that they are not light when mounted on the drill. The drill itself is well made. Strong handle with solid grip that gives sufficient friction. The trigger is easy to control. There's a power indicator light and control strip at the base of the unit, as well as a set of switches on top that allow you to change the settings. The brushless motor is very smooth and offers a lot of torque. In operation this is a heavy drill. I have several others from different manufacturers that are significantly lighter. You might not notice it if you are drilling into concrete floors, but up on a ladder installing security cameras or gutters it will make a difference. Plenty of power for all of the jobs that I have tackled.I'd like to see rubber protection on the outside of the battery just in case of drops. Otherwise there is not much to dislike. The main issue is whether you need a drill of this weight, power, and construction quality.

High quality cordless drill and batteries
I have a number of corded Bosch tools that have been excellent, but this is the first cordless tool I've purchased from them.Neutral: - The kit includes the drill, two 18V / 4 Ah batteries, a charger, removable belt clip and carrying bag. - It is compatible with, but does not include, the GCY42 Bluetooth Tool Module for connecting it to an app and controlling more settings like the length of time the light stays on and its brightness. The Good: - It is comfortable to use and feels high quality. There is enough weight to it that it doesn't feel cheap but not so heavy that it is difficult to use. - It runs smoothly and has plenty of power. I can easily bury 3" long screws and not even have the clutch at one of the highest settings. - The adjustable clutch works great and has plenty of settings. It is easy to dial in the necessary setting to prevent overdriving fasteners. - The battery indicator on the batteries themselves is very helpful and works great. - The bag is a nice size for the drill, charger, batteries and a case of bits and other small tools. - The light is nice to have in darker areas. - It has a setting to turn on/off kickback control to prevent issues where a large drill bit digs in and wants to throw you around. The Bad: - The clutch slips more easily while chucking a drill bit than my other tools. However, I haven't had problems securing bits, it just feels different.Overall, I'm very impressed with this kit. It certainly matches the quality of their corded tools.
