The Final Story...Kishan's!
After six years of waiting, we finally get the conclusion to Colleen Houck's Tiger Saga! Yes, the story may have seemed over with Tiger's Destiny, but that was Kelsey and Ren's chapter, there was still one more tiger who needed to have his story finished, and naturally, that tiger was our beloved Kishan and Tiger's Dream is his story. The book takes place in the events immediately after Kishan agrees to be the goddess, Durga's tiger. A young woman also known as Anamika. Kishan is to be her defender, her protector for all time. But poor Kishan still mourns his loss of Kelsey. He was in love and gave up his own happiness so that his brother could live happily ever after with the girl they both loved. The story truly begins when an old friend comes along and tells Kishan that he must save Kelsey, that her very life was in danger, and naturally Kishan will do anything to save the girl that he still loves. What he didn't expect was that he was to accomplish a set of multiple tasks, ones in which he will have to travel back in time to make sure they happen they way they are supposed to. Even more concerning is that he will need Ana's help as well. And so the two begin their audacious task of going back to key moments in the past and seeing to it that things play out the way they should. Naturally, most of these key moments are ones we've already witnessed in the series. It was kind of fun being able to revisit so many wonderful, dire, scary and exhilarating moments! It was definitely a proper sendoff to The Tiger Saga being able to reminiscent over such memorable moments--memorable in the sense that you have such memories! Lol! Since I haven't read this series in over 6 years, starting it just as it was "wrapping up", I knew there wouldn't be enough time for a re-read. Luckily, one isn't really necessary. Though if you have the time, I think it would interesting to be able to read them all back to back and then re-experience those moments that appear in Tiger's Dream with a new eye. There were moments that Kishan and Ana had to interact more than you would think and it was just kind of eye-opening in a way. It makes me wonder if Colleen truly gave us those hidden moments to begin with. Since this book was a long time coming, I feel like she did. I'm going on faith with that one!The relationship between Kishan and Ana was an interesting one. It was meant to be a business relationship of sorts. Kishan never thought that something could form between him and Ana, but he should've known better. I will say it was a gradual process too and I really enjoyed that aspect! It seems as one is falling for the other, the other isn't realizing what's happening or does and is too ticked off at them to want to encourage the feelings. You can imagine who the latter applied to the most! But I must say, it was done rather well. There were stolen moments when Kishan and Ana were both getting along that were tantalizingly sweet, though their bickering was also enjoyable to say the least!Again, I will mention I haven't read the first four books in years, but I do recall they were of a slower pace, that will hold true here once again. With 800+ pages, a lot is going to happen, but it takes time to get to those action building moments. There's a great deal of character development going and relationship building as well put into place. Plus a rather large section that detailed Ana's past life. If you enjoy good storytellnig and were a fan of the first four books, you know what you're getting into and the payoff you'll have by the end. It is definitely something to consider when starting this series that though the action may be slow to come, there's something magical happening along the way.One thing that also made this one a little hard to read was the whole time traveling aspect. Time traveling is dicey business in general. How you execute the actual act, the rules, and sometimes even the places you go to. Again, since I can't remember the books very well, I am not positive on the order of events either. Sometimes it felt like the events that Kishan and Ana had to go back to were randomly chosen, but then once things were hashed out towards the end of their "list" I wondered if it wasn't, with one or two exceptions. I wonder if the list was truly chronological. It's a minor thing really, but it did make me wonder. I curse my sodden memory for this! The ending...oh god you guys...this is the end! While things were more open-ended and you can imagine the happy lives that Kelsey and Ren would lead and the probably adventures Kishan would have with Ana...you don't get that here because it's the end! You know where all the characters are at and a part of me is torn by it! I enjoyed it, yet my heart aches that it's all over! There's still just a glimmer of hope at the end though, that things aren't really over, as I mentioned there was a great deal of time traveling, so it's like you could just go back and relive those moments. That's a more thoughtful way of looking at it rather than it's over, but still, I know it's over and my heart is sadden by this. But my, what a magical and heartfelt journey it was!Overall Rating 4.5/5 stars

The last book of the Tigers! :(
It was amazing and had a lot of surprises that I didn't expect the last few chapters I cried through I was not expecting the ending to be so sad!!! But in spite of the Heartbreaking last Chapters it was good, I am hoping at some point the Author writes more about Ren and Kelsey's life.

beyond words
No spoilers were harmed in the making of this review*Hey guys, so, this has been a long time in the making, but I finally, finally, finally finished Tiger's Dream (The Tiger Saga #5) by Colleen Houck> Honestly, I have no words to describe how mind blowing this book was. Any of the usual adjectives I could use to detail the wonder that was this book simply fail to adequately define the magnificent essence of this novel. It was...it was out of this time, literally. It was exceptional, unforgettable, unimaginable, anything and everything, that is what this book was. It encompassed everything and anything that a book could. it was truly...just wow. I knew I would love this book, what I didnt sign up for was how it ripped and shattered and burned and brutalized my soul in unspeakable ways. Well...should I say, all this happened to poor Kishan, the main character of this book? I swear, this book just kept pounding and heaping my poor tiger with trial after trial. test after test, hardship ater hardship. And for what? Well...all these brutal events that threatened to tear a apart the very fabric of space and time served a purpose, for the most part. They all led Kishan on the most soulful, deep, resonating, searching, discovering journey of all his existence. It led him to basically reexamine everything he was and everything he hoped to be. I just wish there could have been an easier way to go about doing that. Guess not. My admiration and adoration for Kishan swelled during this novel, it boiled beyond the breaking point. I see him in a new light, a new perspective, and love him, all of him. Just as Ana does.Okay, Ana who? Well....um.....I am not entirely sure I should tell you who she is and the impact she had on shaping the man Kishan was most destined to be. She is one of my favorite female characters. She had obstacles and trials and hardships to face in this book as well. She had to discern who she was and who she wanted to be as well. And together, they did. Together they achieved. TOgether they triumphed. TOgether, they ruled the world. Durga.....and her tiger. Hers. His. Theirs.Another character that I grew even more fond of and garnered even more respect and affection for was....Oh wait...can I tell you? WOuld it spoil things? It certainly could....yikes...umm....well....I'll just say that he truly was the most loyal and undeniable man that the tigers could ever hope to have. He truly dedicated his life to them. In more ways than anyone could have thought. He deserved better. They all...deserved better.Okay, I have to tell you guys, i was either in tears or fighting back tears for most of this book. And the ending...gods...it was tragic and beautiful at the same time. It was bitter. It was sweet. it was an ending...to end all endings. I just....it was so sad...so lovely....I just....*cries*

Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off
It took me a couple weeks after finishing the other four books to want to start this one based on other reviewers. The size of this book and the text is different because it isn’t published by the same company. For some reason that bothered me. However, it is worth it! This book is big! It is slow at times but if you are someone who wants to know how a magician does their tricks you will love this book. I found it so interesting the way Colleen brought all 5 books together. I love that we get more of Kishan and get to see him with his happily ever after.I will give this book 4.5/5 just because I really wish they could’ve visited Ren and Kelsey more but I’ll take what I was given. There are some parts I just wanted to yell at kishan or ana the same way I wanted to yell at Kelsey and Ren. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the others. Well done Colleen. Thank you for ending this series so beautifully.

Not bad, not as good as others in the series.
This book is not bad but I like the first four a lot more! Although when you are invested in the Tiger’s Curse series the way I am, the 5th novella clears up a lot of confusion in the other books. Colleen Houck yet again, gives us a page turner that is almost impossible to put down.

amazing

The only reason I don't is that I found this book too annoying to read
If I was going to review this solely on the performance of its delivery I would give it a five-star rating. The only reason I don't is that I found this book too annoying to read. I am so sad to say that. The first four of the series were fantastic, and while there were times I was yelling at the characters in frustration, I never wanted to stop reading the book. This one did me in. It changes nothing of the story we were introduced to in the previous books, but it does change one's outlook on them. Time travel is... a tricky thing to write, and this did not do it well enough to make me want to read it. I read chunks of this story and ended up crying tears over the ending, and feeling my heart twisted into painful knots for the rest of it. Not in a good way. I would only recommend this book to people who really love sad side stories.I love Colleen Houcks other works, but this one was too hard to read.
