I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: This item is pretty cool. I recently had a Storage Shop built with a 8' Deep Loft on either end. TO be able to use the full Loft as an attic, I realized I needed a way to reach things way in the back. This item works perfectly. From my ladder I can safely reach boxes and small items all the way 6' deep easily. I like that it has TWO different grab heads that change out quickly. If I need a box with stuff inside it, I usually use the flat bar with the bent end. If I need to grab to grab a music stand or a walker I use the hook end and nab it to pull it out. A quick twist of the handle sections allow it to retract or extend out to full length. I highly Recommend. Good Luck.

Bought this for my cousin he has a truck with a cover on the bed. He needed something to grab the stuff out of the bed but didn’t want to have to crawl in every single time. This product is great. It’s heavy duty and does what it’s meant to do. Perfect for grabbing stuff when you can’t quite reach it.

Works well, but the ends bend a little easier than I would like

My item was a birthday gift for my man. He loved it and immediately put it in his new truck to have it when he needed it. It is light weight with a telescopic handle which makes it easy to extend and retract. It is streamlined and compact for easy storage. I chose this style because the body is stainless and durable. Great gift!

My hubby shops for our church’s weekend food program every other Monday during the school year. Six non-perishable items are packed for over 400 elementary school kids to take home on Friday. He then delivers (along with other volunteers) the tubs of packs to elementary schools. The tool comes in handy when the tubs shift!

Very pleased with purchase--much better quality than I expected. Nice finish, telescopes easily, and sturdy. Have used it several times to retrieve items that slide in my covered pick-up truck bed. Saves me from crawling in or opening up the cover to reach the items. Really useful on my weekly runs to the dump to grab items that slid away from the tail gate. Stores easily when not being used. My wife was having trouble reaching some pillows that fell behind the reclining couch. Grabbed my favorite new "toy" from my truck and made easy work getting the pillows. Sounds stupid but worked well. Would recommend highly.

I think the best use of this is in the back of a lined truck bed where you can leave this fully extended. Then again, a boat hook might be better. The hook itself has sharp edges, so you much be cautious with any interior surfaces and side windows. It is made of steel, so it is heavy for its size and will have momentum if it hits something. I tried to change the hook, but realized that I would have to clamp it down to remove the screws. This is not something you could do quickly and without a vise or similar tool. I don't know what the point of two hook is if you cannot swap them. Finally, the whole point of me getting this was I wanted a portable hook I could easily deploy and store. It is small, but you have to be aware of that hook when storing it. It gets old to tighten and loosen the sections repeatedly to use it, especially since they loosen easily unless tightened firmly. I ended up getting a compact boat hook. It's quicker to deploy and store, and the plastic hook is strong yet soft.
