We bought a house with 33 windows. That means a lot of investment in window coverings. We worked with a local designer to add high-end wireless motorized blinds to the whole house. A name brand that looked terrific. It was expensive but we felt worth it. When we realized the blinds didn't get the rooms dark enough I started browsing Amazon for a solution and I found Graywind motorized blackout shades. The site took me through exactly how to measure for shades that would mount outside the window frames (and over the blinds). They reviewed my plan and gave me great help on how to make it better. The motorized shades came quickly and were easy to install. They are covering high-end, designer made motorized blinds and they look every bit as good as the blinds and work as smoothly and reliably. What a find. If you want to have a designer look for your windows without the extreme expense and long wait I highly recommend Graywind. The products are solid, reliable and beautiful and the customer support is world-class.

The media could not be loaded.  I was really happy with the purchase of these motorized blinds. We ended up going with the grey blackout blinds with the valence (with I highly recommend for clean, upscale looks and ease of installation). Their order page makes ordering the correct fit, customization, and features easy as long as you pay attention to input the correct measurements and know how you want them installed (e.g., inside or outside the window frame).Even if you make a mistake, the design team will contact you with their recommendations if they see something is off. We bought a total of 8 blinds, 5 of which were custom sizes, with the grey blackouts. We were concerned they wouldn't look as good as fabric shades, but when we saw them in person, the rubberized-vinyl like material looks high quality and premium. A nice benefit of these are that they will hold up to our cats damaging them, and they won't absorb odors as much. As promised, no light gets through the blinds. The package also includes a sleek, easy to operate remote. One remote can control up to 15 blinds and they are already pre-programmed for you. We ordered another 2 to keep one upstairs (which can work from the third floor), and one as a backup.As far as delivery, after 2 days we received a call from the team recommending to widen my shades by 3", and within another week, the shades arrived! After measuring and drilling our holes, we just needed to screw in the brackets, then slide the shades in which snap in easily using the valence for outside the frame mounting. Entire installation was 2 hours by myself at an easy place. After I drilled my holes, most of the work is just attaching the brackets. First thing I did was start charging the motor blinds with the included USB-C wires, and they were charged up and ready by the time I was ready to install them. One charge is good for thousands of movements. You can control the speed, which blinds to open/close, and set the stop positions. The operation is relatively quiet, which again, I think the valence helps damper the motor noise. Will definitely look to Graywind when we are ready to do the other floors. We saved at least $3,000 going through them and installing ourselves.

The media could not be loaded.  I have almost Alexa-fied my house except the blinds. So I first ordered two of this smart blinds. They were excellent so I ordered total eight blinds from the seller. I have uploaded a video showing the Alexa voice controlled operation of the blinds. In short great smart blinds and excellent customer service. Below is the list of pros and cons:One important thing about shipment time. It will show you months to ship but they will appear in 2-3 weeks!!!1. Excellent customer service. The best I have seen in my Amazon’s 7 yr experience. I could easily give 10 stars just for their prompt responses and helpful discussions over the email. They will customize your order as per your need. Thanks a lot ‘Tina’ and the team!2. Very good material of the blind.3. Smart blind, voice controlled, battery operated, schedule operation. It also has a remote to operate individual blinds or all of them in one click.4. You can set schedule in the Alexa app once you add all the blinds in Geeklink app and the hub. You can group your blinds as you need in the Alexa app.5. It is battery operated which is a big plus as you don’t have arrange cords to power. I have just used them for a week. Let’s see how long the charge remains. I run the blinds twice as by schedule (open in the morning, close at night).6. Installation is very easy. Only you have to drill two per blinds (inside mount).7. Charging port is outside so easy to plug in when needs charging.8. When many blinds are ordered, they pre program the remote so you do not have go through any programming. Just add it in the app.Cons:1. Nothing at all except the Geeklink app has only three controls (open, close, stop). Hope they add voice prompt such as “open 20%” or. “Close 50%” etc.2. The programming of the blinds with the remote can get tricky. You just have to follow the steps.3. I have seen sometime one of the blinds in the group will not operate as scheduled. Not sure what were the issue. But you can close it by remote/app/voice command4. The sound of the motor may feel too loud. Indeed it is loud. But it will not wake you up :)Overall I am very satisfied with the product and the excellent customer service (they even offer discounts when you buy many of the blinds). Lets see the longevity and the charging frequency. Will update if any issue or not upto the commitment.
