These chews smell absolutely appalling, BUT my dog was a big fan of them (as the pictures show!) he ate the first one straight away, the next time I offered the other one, he decided to bury it in his bed for a later date (after throwing it around the room and having zoomies with it). He has a salmon allergy so fish chews are usually not an option for him (despite the fact he quite likes fish). He’s also picky and won’t chew anything he can’t finish, so things like nylabones are of no interest to him. These take him a little while to get through (not the longest lasting, but they last long enough to satisfy his needs - he’s far from a power chewer but he can work on treats pretty quickly). They’re not a bad size (not huge, probably too small for truly big dogs but good for my ~25kg guy). They are pretty solid, but soften on chewing. The price is good when they’re on sale and when I purchased at 3.50 for a pack they were comparable to a whimzee chew which he also enjoys, nice to have a very natural and satisfying chew option for him. Going to reorder another packet now.

Tasty treats

I have a Lurcher Saluki cross aged about 9. I wasn't sure he would like this treat, but he did. It disappeared within about 10 minutes!!! Not what I would call long lasting, but one very happy pooch. The only downside besides it not lasting very long, was the smell...... absolutely pong to high heaven! I would buy again as the dog loved them.

Bit expensive for 2 chews, however the dogs scoffed them happily.

The dog loved these but beware. Open all windows and doors !!! The smell is as if you've had a decomposing dead body in your house for a month! You know those trucks that occasionally drive past that smell so bad you can taste it? That's this inside your lovely house. Buyer beware. As I said. Dogo lived them but I'm not subjecting myself to that putrid smell again. Oh and DO NOT let your dog anywhere near your bed afterwards

Rubbish! Firstly I feel the need to point out my dogs have had many chews over the years including many types of fish skin ones, so I have a lot to compare them to. 1. They claim to be long lasting - lasted my lab 30 seconds at most (yes he’s a greedy lab so expect him to be quicker than my other dog, but equally he’s a gentle chewer so is only middle of the scale chew wise), and my spaniel just over a minute. This is short by any chew standards including fish skins, let alone for ones that claim to be ‘long lasting’. 2. As others have stated, the smell really is awful. As above, I’m well used to a mix of smelly animal parts but these are something else! It’s not the fishy smell you’d expect either but a fairly rotten animal smell 🤢 - only positive about these is the dogs did like the smell 3. They gave BOTH my dogs bad diarrhoea despite having eaten nothing different but these and had a day at home so can’t even blame scavenging. It was a short episode not like if caused by a bug they’d picked up elsewhere. 4. They are absolutely tiny - think about the size of a man’s finger! Should come with a warning that they are for small dogs only. 5. That brings me on to the price… these are expensive by any chew standards, but when you then consider how small they are, how poor quality they are, and how short lasting they are - the price is extortionate! I initially splashed out thinking it was a good brand that would be worth it if they managed to make fish skin chews longer lasting - don’t make the same mistake I did!

Success! The dogs loved the beef flavour and chew lasted ages. Kept my pair distracted and calm. My slippers live to see another day!

Die Kausnacks bestehen aus 100 % natürlicher Kabeljauhaut, was mir als Hundebesitzer wichtig ist. Es sind keine künstlichen Zusätze oder Konservierungsstoffe enthalten – ein großes Plus! Die Snacks riechen natürlich nach Fisch, aber nicht übermäßig stark, was angenehm ist. Mein Hund (ein Mischling) war eine ganze Weile mit einem der Kausnacks beschäftigt. Er hat sich richtig hineingekniet, und man hat gemerkt, wie viel Freude ihm das Kauen bereitet hat. Für größere Hunde könnten die Snacks vielleicht etwas schneller aufgefressen sein, aber für kleine bis mittelgroße Hunde sind sie ideal. Durch die raue Textur der Kabeljauhaut wird beim Kauen gleichzeitig die Zahngesundheit gefördert, da Zahnbelag und Zahnstein reduziert werden können. Das ist ein toller Nebeneffekt! Die Verpackung ist praktisch und wiederverschließbar, sodass die Snacks frisch bleiben. ABER ich hatte nicht damit gerechnet dass der Inhalt aus zwei RIESIGEN HARTEN Fischteilen besteht. Ich dachte es wären mehrere getrocknete Fischhäute die selbst ein Hund wie mein Chihuahua kauen kann. Nicht diese Schläger. War aber auch wohl meine Schuld. Wenn die Bilder da auch schon vorher waren (was wahrscheinlich ist). Musste sie an eine Freundin mit größerem Hund geben. Bewertung daher nur 3, weil ich nicht genau weiß ob gut oder schlecht. Für meinen Hund schlecht, für den der Freundin wohl gut.
