meant to do this review months ago. Used this cutter to make clean cuts on roofing shingles for relative's home that I roofed. Much lighter product than cutters geared for cutting shingles, so it was easier to bring up/down ladder too.

As the blade comes down, it crams the paper into the fence.The fence slips, even with frequent tightening, I assume from that force?Does not cut squarely. Sometimes the cut is even slightly curved.You can see that I have taken to attempting to cover my paper sheets with board to try to mitigate the damage to the paper.It is my fault for waiting so long to use it after it arrived, but this really is a worthless piece of equipment. It isn’t square or straight, it damages the materials I am attempting to cut. It is worthless to me.

Excellent product and very very sharp (watch your fingers) only change I would make is the handle does not lock on and easily slides off.Drilled a small hole, put a small screw in, problems solved

For me the item did not work for me. However they have great customer service and support. I would definitely purchase other items from them.

No issues at all like some of the previous reviewers. It cuts perfectly straight, easy to use, and the quality is excellent for the price. Taking off a star because I wish it would have something to help with aligning the papers.

I can't compare it to another brand costing 1/3 more, but I settled on this model and am totally satisfied. I need critically accurate cuts for commercial products and this one does it. Heavier than the plastic brands, but this is an advantage. My one suggestion is the white cut alignment mark I put at the top of the cut stroke. If you don't have excellent lighting to see the start of the cut this helps to know where to align the product being cut.

Although this item costs much less than other cutters and cuts pretty well, the seller has told me that this is only sold as a package unit and that replacement blades and cutting sticks are not available. The instructions in the package say that the blade can be changed and it appears to have screws to do so but I've been unsuccessful in even finding this product on the manufacturer's website.On the $3,500 electric cutter I've used that has a similar blade, the blades cost over $85 to replace so this item is still not a bad deal at just over $100 for the entire unit. Just don't expect to be able to buy a blade and plan on sharpening the one it comes with.

Pretty disappointed in this product. I tried to cut 3 workbooks that were each less than 200 pages thick. Each one buckled at the top corner, pushed the top brace back and did not cut straight down the paper making an uneven cut.
