As far as I can tell, the listing for this product did not indicate it was only compatible with discs froma specific region, yet that appears to be the case, as even after changing the country from US to Australia, it only wants to play region-free discs, and nothing with Australian-specific coding. Funnily enough, the front of the instruction manual seems to indicate that the product plays Region 1 DVD and Region A BluRay. It would be nice if that were indicated clearly in the product listing. We will be returning this and instead, just purchasing a bluray drive to connect to a laptop.

This is the 3rd portable player that I bought made by Sylvania. It’s a great improvement from the previous models. The screen is bigger and the resolution is fantastic!

I bought this for two reasons and it fits both perfectly! I bought it for when I had neck surgery and wanted to watch movies in bed while recovering. No getting up and down, no fumbling around, easy! I also use it when camping! We use it indoors and outdoors when cable isn’t an option. No skipping, no tons of cables, just lovely! The screen is a good size for personal viewing as well! We are 100% satisfied!

Well worth the cost this is a rugged easy-to-use Blu-Ray player. I generally use an outboard speaker connected by a 3.5 mm cable making the experience even better. Perfect for watching in bed or up close on a desk or table. Among the limited choices this is the best for my money.
