The drum pluckers are a lot more convenient and quicker but this drill attachment is FAR better than plucking by hand. The only issue I had was that I still had to hand pluck the large wing and tail feathers. But I was processing older birds so that may have been part of the issue. Either way, it was easy to use and made the job much quicker than doing it all by hand. Also, it does make a big mess and you might want to wear goggles ... my eye glasses were pretty messy when I was done.

I used this product to defeather 12 Cornish Cross, worked well. It took around 3 minutes a bird (with scalding). I also had to procesass 22 Pekin Ducks at 8 weeks old. At first, it was working horribly, I followed directions and did boiling water with soap to break down the oils in the duck feathers. Was impossible. Luckily, I tried my next one dry, no scald no soap. Worked Great. To get a super clean duck, with no tears, it took me about 7 minutes a duck. IF you buy this product, get a drill that has adjustable speed because you need to find the right rpm.

Temperature of water, scald time, and speed of drill are all factors to consider. We culled 22 broilers yesterday and this made an entire afternoon chore into a 3.5hr task. There is a slight learning curve but it was easy to get the hang of and easy to use. Only tore one’s breast skin and it was only an inch tear. We got it down to less than two minutes from scald to plucked. The white rubber is definitely sturdy and also more flexible than the black rubber. I thought it seemed a little expensive for just the drill attachment but I’m happy I bought it and would buy another if something happened to this one. I saw another reviewer said theirs rusted but we did not experience this

Product doesn’t do a good job of removing feathers. And since it’s ineligible for return it’s a complete waste of time and money. Don’t buy this item!

Great bang for the buck. We were processing chickens for the first time and didn’t want to spend a lot on the plucker. This was a great price and had good reviews so we went for it. BEST DECISION!!! Took two chickens to get the scalding just right and then the feathers started flying (16 chickens total)!!! It’s a messy job but so rewarding!!! Must have accessories; tarp, apron and eye protection!!!! Oh and don’t talk when using. 🤣🤣🤣

It worked awesome, but boy did those feathers fly!!!

I struggled with how many stars to give this. So it works as intended.... sometimes. The speed to the drill is the thing, and its hard to get it just right. Too fast and your tearing the skin, too slow and it doesn't pluck. I fiddled with it all day since I had about 25 chickens to dress. I gave up after half the day, and started fresh the next day. Got so frustrated I ended up just picking by hand. With practice I'm sure I would've gotten it but unless your dressing birds everyday it's gonna be hard to get enough practice to make this practical!!

My husband and daughter used this for the first time on the weekend and were very impressed. The learning curve was minimal and they were able to process 15 chickens in under a couple of hours. The plucker did a fantastic job, even got rid of pin feathers. So much easier than hand plucking. We would highly recommend this plucker.

I guess it will take time to perfect, it worked okay on a couple ducks I did so far. More practice and attention to prep steps should help get better results.I tried again the next day, 2 more ducks, worked better with better attention to scalding temperature.The third day I did 2 chickens, wow, they look store bought! It worked great, temp of water and time in water are quite important. I am certainly recommending it.

Haven't tried it yet but it seems to be quite good. After trying it works great.

Does not do a clean job and feathers go everywhere!!! Might as well hand pluck, than use this product

The plucker came on time and looks good,heavy duty construction.I haven’t used it yet but look foreword to giving it a workout.
