I have the old fat bulb not thin will this work?

Hello! It's now March, 2021, and I've had these Luxrite fluorescent 'daylight' tubes for almost two years now. I've been buying 'daylight' tubes & bulbs for 25 years now, and these are probably the best yet. The light you get in the room is very close to real daylight - I've gotten used to it over the years, but I'm still impressed by the true light I'm getting. In my kitchen it looks like I have a skylight in the ceiling, if I didn't know better. As far as longevity, I've replaced one tube in these two years. That may have been a fluke, an anomaly, I'm not sure. These tubes from Luxrite (48 inch, T8, 6500k White) are a good deal thinner than all the other daylight tubes I've had, but the pins on the ends of the tube fit just fine in a standard fixture. Long as your fixture takes 48 inch tubes, has the standard T8 pin configuration on the ends of the tube ( the T8 I believe designates the length of the pins, and the distance between them), these will work perfectly. When I first got them, I compared the ends of the tubes with the tubes I was currently using, and though the Luxrites were thinner, the pin configuration on the ends was identical. If you're looking for 'daylight' tubes for a standard 48" fixture, these work and fit perfectly, and I think you'll be pleased with the quality of the light. Probably the best light for reading, that's for sure.
