When I first got my puppy he was tiny! The harness I originally got him was perfect for him at the time, but as he grew, he eventually outgrew his harness. Since then I have purchased about 4 others. I really didn't like most of them. They were either too thin with flimsy material, or just didn't fit him right. I got this one with crossed fingers and low expectations. I am so pleasantly surprised! The quality of this harness is GREAT! It is well made with a thicker fabric that doesn't look like it's going to fall apart any time soon. The clasp/snap part of the harness is of good quality and looks like it will last a while without breaking. The opening for the legs is a good size. The only drawback to this harness is that the opening for the head is a little snug. It could be though that my doggie has a big head and is a furry mess right now! I think that once I take him in to his overdue grooming it will fit a lot looser than it is now! We purchased the next size smaller, a small, and it is too tight to use with the newer dog. I air dry my clothes.I liked the metal hoop up further by the neck like their haulter is. Her dog tags would dangle off their back, when it was further to the right (see photo). One of my dogs walked sideways because of the older haulters configeration. It would make the tags hang off the side of her back.
