I was told by a friend to purchase a pillow to use on my abdominal area after my Laparoscopic surgery. As I reviewed many I choose this pillow. I must say I have no regrets. Let me tell you why this one stuck out after reviewing many options. I liked the fact it came with the hot/cold pack. This pack has it's own pocket in the pillow which was great it stayed in place while covering the area I needed. ( I did use a plastic bag in the pocket while using the cold pack just so the pillow didn't get wet.) Then you have the pocket on the front side which is great to put things in so you can keep things close by you so you don't have to get up or reach to far,like the phone, remote a snack, note pad a pen. You get the idea. Behind the front pocket is a place you can put your hands to apply as needed for coughing, sneezing, laughing, or just keeping your hands warm, or adjusting the pillow if needed. The pillow has loose filling inside so you can adjust to make you comfortable without buldged areas. Love the straps one for the neck with adjustable pad, and one strap for the back to keep pillow secure to the waist. Both straps are adjustable as well as elastic, and can be removed as well. You can use one or both straps at a time or just use the pillow. You should take in the car to use under your seat belt.This pillow seems to be well made and washable. It's great if you have small children or pets to protect that area from being bumped accidently. This is well worth the purchase and can be used after recovery as well. I would buy it again.

This is an after surgery life saver. The design is perfect, the straps go around your neck with a soft neck protector wrapped around the strap. Also has an adjustable straps around the waist. It has a pocket in back for an ice pack (included) and the front pocket to hold your phone & an open side pocket for your hands to slide in, when you want to cross your hands on your belly. This pillow worked great after surgery when I buckled up in the car. Perfect protection from that seat belt & bumping your stomach into anything.

I don’t know if I would’ve been able to walk without the support of this pillow after my surgery. It’s soft, adjustable, came with insertable hot or cold pack that slides into it which was also helpful for pain. Also has a great size front pocket for your phone, book, etc separate of the pocket for hot/cold pack. Loved the shape also, fully covers the abdomen. Highly recommend!!

I have been carrying this pillow around since I got it. This pillow has helped me tremendously during my recovery time of my procedure. Love that it comes with a heating/cooling pad. Instantly feels like a a warm hug. Alleviates any discomfort or pain you may be experiencing while in recovery. Washing it was super easy. The stuffing can be put aside or back in its case. I can’t believe how much I’ve utilized this pillow. I also take it with me on my car rides and comfortably had the seatbelt laid across on it. Helps with bumps on the road. Best part is the extra pocket it has to put miscellaneous items. Cellphone, AirPods, remote controls etc while resting. It’s been the best thing I’ve purchased in a while.

Very very helpful after a robotic non-invasive radical/or complete hysterectomy. Grateful for this soft pillow as well as ice/heat gel pack. Need it for car ride home from hospital and first few weeks of recovery. It comes with easy adjustable straps for neck and around waist. Pillow is comforting and has compartments for necessary items like phone, reading glasses, your hands, and gel pack. It also protects your abdomen from kids/pets etc..

This is meeting my exact needs and it’s definitely one of the top five things I recommend getting for abdominal surgery recovery. I wasn’t sure how much I would need it after surgery, thought I might use it to protect my abdominal area from the seatbelt on the ride home from the hospital and then be done with it. Turns out I have used it every day, and I am about 4 weeks postop. Perfect for holding to provide soft pressure and support as you heal. It’s very lightweight. The material is soft, and it comes with an ice pack that fits perfectly into a pocket between you and the pillow. The straps help keep it in place so you can walk around with it. The neck pad on the neck strap does keep shifting around, and I’m annoyed at how much I have to adjust it. But since the straps are adjustable, I suppose there’s no way around that. It has a zipper so you can add more stuffing later if needed. But the outside of this pillow is not a washable cover so take care to keep this clean (which is why I gave it four stars- something used this continuously should be washable and easy to clean.) The pocket on the front is not very deep but it’s useful.
