This works great! On engine start, as soon as alternator charging starts the 5v output turns on. I have mine set to shut off automatically after engine stop and the 5v output shuts off 20 minutes after I turn the key off. I was always forgetting to start/stop my dash cam, now it takes care of itself. There's no need to fish a wire through the firewall either.

Outstanding product. What a great idea.Power cable for new dash cam was installed completely hidden and up and running in less than ten minutes. It simply plugs into your OBD plug and draws power for your device. Also doesnt interfere with any vehicle diagnostics.

This was so simple to install and makes it real easy to set up a dash cam. Price is good and quality seems good as well.

By the No#s1. The device works! And makes the task of hardwiring a power source for your type C device, I.E. dashcam a breeze! (I originally went hardwire to the fuse box) wich if done inaccuratly or not properly secured can cause serious issues. After running the cable from the dashcam under the headliner and down around the dash and into the OBD2 socket all is good 👍. 2. The ACC mode is how I mainly power my device, it comes on when I turn the key and goes off about 7 minutes after I shut off the engine. Sentry mode provides 24 hr power w/ low voltage protection that shuts down the device to keep it from killing the battery 🔋. So far So good. If anything goes wrong I will update my review. But for now I am a happy Camper 👍
