I'd attempted many braces for my fairly significant achilles swelling. I mean at times I had a 2 inch swelling sticking off thr back of my leg. I've worn this brace, while working, for about 2 months and the pain/ swelling have dramatically improved! Best investment I could have made. I was on the brink of not being able to walk. I highly recommend this brace for acute issues!

Very helpful. Not only is it making it less painful behind my heel and as a bonus my injured knee has shown improvement, I think because since the heel is elevated my knee does not straighten fully as I walk and it is allowing the tendons to rest and heal. Certainly the knee is more stable by not making a full stretch. My Achilles Tendon pain is much less. I have a spur at the back of the heel and bursitis which is painful and burns, this is helping a lot.It has not made all the swelling and pain go away but certainly makes it less painful during the day and when taken off at night I am not having as much pain at night keeping me awake. Will it cure the problem? Maybe, with time, but until then any increase in comfort and my ability to walk is so appreciated. Definitely recommend. BTW this is thick enough that it may not fit into all shoes. I actually wear it with flip flops without the opposite side cushion and it does not throw me off balance at all.
