Very unique, old school music with a modern feel. I liked it so much I bought another one of his album.

One of my favorite albums of the year. Every song has its own special thing goin on.

If you are a Pokey fan this is different from anything else he’s produced. Different in this case is a good thing! It’s a cool breeze on a hot summer day that makes you want to get up and dance with your loved one. If you don’t have a smile on your face from track 1 to the end, check your pulse. It reminds me of the early ‘60s vibe that She&Him captured in 2010. Put it on as you fire up the barbecue and crack open your favorite cold libations.

Pokey LaFarge is the best americana musician right now. For those who enjoy country, bluegrass, alt- country, swing, and the blues, you won't be disappointed.

Pokey is one of the best songwriters working today. This album is full of classic tunes with really fresh arrangements and production. Can't wait to see him live!

I can't help but to sing along after hearing every song.

I'm buying Pockey Lafarge records since a while and I have all of them and I have to say that I don't like much the artistic path that he took.For my personal taste, and this is completely subjective, I do prefer his former works ... the former recording was already more commercial than the previous but it was still nice. In this last onehe put too much references to his new life style that humanly speaking, I'm happy for him which has undertaken this path which is undoubtedly healthier than his previous lifestyle but from an artistic point of view, this last job is a lot more pop and forgone.I do hope he will go back to his former style and keep his religious lifestyle for himself.
