Bullpup Rival Blasters are back!
The media could not be loaded. I LIKE the Nerf AccuRival Mirage. I like the aesthetics, ergonomics, dual loading system, performance, and ammo/magazine compatibility. FIVE VERY ENTHUSIASTIC STARS.I like the aesthetics: the ongoing accurival color scheme of blue base with black, yellow, and orange highlights is just very cool looking. I love the yellow piping that threads around various parts of the blaster. I like the thumbhole stock, and how it changes the overall profile of the gun. The general aesthetic is bright, busy, and just very cool.I like the ergonomics: I have some friends that like to use Rival guns but their small hands make it difficult to use some models like the Helios or Knockout. I think they’ll appreciate that (even though the Mirage has an in-grip mag well) the grip on this handle is actually smaller than most mag-fed rival guns. In fact, the whole blaster is small. In the attached photo you’ll probably note that the Mirage has a noticeably smaller profile than its bullpup-style predecessors in the Rival line (Apollo and Helios).I like the dual loading system: I WANT TO SEE MORE OF THIS on other Rival guns. It’s mag fed (so you can do mag swaps in tight situations) but it also has a breech-loading port (so you can reload on the go without removing the mag). This is a GREAT feature especially if you don’t have a lot to spend on nerf guns and can’t afford an extra mag.I like the performance: smooth priming action, the thumbhole stock keeps your sight picture stable while drawing the priming handle back. I don’t have a chronometer, but the Mirage really seems to have good velocity.I like the ammo compatibility: I ran ten different kinds of ammo through this blaster (from 5 different manufacturers) and the Mirage handled them beautifully. The only jams/misfeeds I had came from using Headshot Ammo (which I don’t recommend anyway). The ammo from NERF, Dartzone, TiopLior, XShot, and EKind all worked great.I like the magazine compatibility: this worked with literally EVERY other magazine I own. THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL. Even the generic mags worked! This is a huge selling point for me, because magazine incompatibility is extremely common and very inconvenient.SUMMARY: I like the Mirage. It’s great. Thank you Hasbro! 5 stars.

Best of rival series so far
Out of all my nerf guns this is my favorite. Being s huge fan of the rival series, I feel lile Nerf has really perfected this blaster. It is the straightest and furthest shooting of my spring rival blasters. Size is perfect and functionality to breach load or magazine load gives plenty of options in the field. Easy to use and hasn’t jammed yet. Worth it!

Hard to pull slide back for smaller children
Shoots far and hard! Lots of fun for a family nerf fight. Slide is difficult for a 5yr old . Great for 8+ years

Nerf makes another great one!
Another great blaster with a slight issue. This thing shoots very accurately and hard, but the only issue mine had (not all might have this) last ball or projectile if you want to call it wouldn't stay in the magazine due to the spring being kind of loose. You can load a ball from the top which worked at times but sometimes it just caused a jam. Overall it is a great blaster just the magazine issue and it's super hard to cock it.

Cool Rival Blaster
Really cool Nerf blaster! This is my first one from the “Rival” series. Pretty high powered compared to the standard darts. Easy enough to use but this is definitely an age 8 toy or higher due to the strong cocking system & high velocity of the balls. My only complaint is the rail system is not compatible with standard Nerf accessories - which I find a bit odd & slightly frustrating.

Good stuff
Fun little toy. I've got 4 of them in a drawer. Easy aim, doesn't hit too hard but can shoot across the room. No observable differences between the 4 guns so build qualities good. Buy some 3rd party balls if you want to save money.

Decent blaster - top loading leads to jams.
Pros: Priming handle is much more comfortable than the Kronos. Magazine holds 8 rounds, 2 extra rounds are included. Distance an accuracy are on par for the Rival line.Cons: Top prime does not work well, in my experience about 1 out of 3 rounds end up going into the barrel instead of the magazine. This leads to 2 rounds firing at once in the best case but more often jamming the blaster. You have to be pretty careful to get it to top, load properly. Priming handle is a bit small.

Works well
Given as a gift to my son. Works very well. Great range. No issues with jamming yet and we have been using this for almost 4 months.
