Very nice quality. Durable product. As an art student being able to buy a quality product in bulk without breaking the bank makes all of the difference.

These are nice, but I thought they would come sharpened.

I love these charcoal pencils. not only do they perform well but, they come in a pack of 12 which can last a long time. very good in my opinion makes your work have great depth.

soon as I open the box...had to try..the charcoal lays down better than my more expensive pencils, easy blending...and dark when needed...I will continue to buy..:)))

I can't speak on whether these are truly professional or not because I dabble in various art mediums. I feel these are, at least, a good introductory set. You get soft, medium, and hard leads and you receive a lot for the money. Unless I overlooked it, it's a bit annoying that each one is not properly labeled outside of the box, but the pencils themselves are labeled. Nice set for beginners, at minimum.

First, don't expect the quality to be like Japanese, American, or German charcoal.. they are certainly not up to that level. That said, for the money, these are quite the bargain.They work well and I will most likely order them again once this batch is worn out.I don't think you can go wrong with them for the price.
