This coat adds an extra layer to any attire. If it's a cool day, this adds warmth, but it might be too warm on a really hot day. Not sure if the event is casual or dressy? This coat dresses up casual, if needed, but remains casual if that's the desired attire. Fits in at church. Fits in at a hockey game.I used the sizing chart in the description and the coat fits me perfectly. It is comfortable and easy to wear. Durable material. Good workmanship. I have no complaints and get more compliments wearing this coat than I do any other item of clothing I own.The coat was not cheap, but was inexpensive. I don't want to buy cheap, but I do wish to be efficiently. I will definitely buy another one at some point.

I am 6'4 and about 210 pounds with wide shoulders. It can be very difficult to find jackets that fit across the shoulders but I ordered a 2X and it is a wonderful fit. A bit too big across the mid section but it looks great! The fabric is light weight, which I like, and is completely lined with 2 inside pockets. I want to stress this FOR THE MONEY it is a great buy. If you are expecting a Harris Tweed jacket this is not it. I feel it is a great bargain for the fit and look you get. I intended to buy more from this brand of men's clothes. I am going to replace the buttons and wait for cool weather.

I have a very hard time finding clothes that fit me. I'm 5 ft 6 but I'm 230 lb so I'm built like a short wall. I lift weights but I'm not a bodybuilder. I was an athlete when I was younger so I have the inverted triangle body type with really wide shoulders 55 and then a huge drop to my chest 46. This means that I have to buy shirts made for people who are 6 ft tall and I end up having to get alterations or look like I'm wearing my father's shirt since I have 23 and a half 24-in arm length. I am a bit pokey thanks to Christmas and Thanksgiving but I am not largely overweight. Waist size 36. If you're going to measure true waist for a sport coat, then 38-40. I'm telling you all of this to just fill you in on how difficult it can be to find a sport coat that fits me properly.I had a lot of doubt going into this. I read the description for the XL which mentioned having 46 chest with 38 to 40 waist and 26 in on the arm. If it could fit me around the middle then I'm fine with the arms. I can always get that fixed pretty easily. My real concern was the shoulders.Sport cut arrived today and I put it on and oh my god! This thing fits me like it was made for me. It doesn't bunch at my shoulders it doesn't feel tight in the chest it buttons nicely around the middle with with no tension on the button or bunching. In fact, the fit is quite flattering. It's about as best I could hope for in an off the rack coat.As others have said the buttons are a little loose, but who cares. This is not some $500 tailored coat. The fabric is a little thin but this isn't a heavy weight coat. The pattern is quite nice. Coat has an excellent vintage vibe to it. Think 1960s professor. I love it.

Loved this coat. Trim tailored fit and great weight, very surprised for the price and off Amazon. Wonderful piece for the man, who dresses like a man.

Cute jacket! stitching isn't great--the internal right breast pocket was sewed incorrectly, so the bottom somehow connects to the lip. Doesn't fit terribly well, but then, this is not bespoke. I'd say worth it for the look and the price point!

This jacket is amazing! Very warm and great quality. Very true to size and comfortable.
