SUMMARY: Nice quality set of chains! They are surprisingly well made for only $12.99, and I think you can use them without anyone thinking they’re cheap.PROS:(1) The hardware is nice and bright. It is indeed chunky, so make sure this is the vibe you’re going for.(2) I like that the pearl section is detachable, so you can use just the gold chain or add the pearl section as an extender. The pearl section also makes the overall look of the chain a little more feminine. So you have options to look more rugged or more classy.(3) The chains are easy to attach and remove, so you can easily use them on any existing bags you may have.HELPFUL NOTES:(1) You will want to choose a color that matches the existing hardware on your bag. I bought the “gold” to use on my luxury cosmetic pouch that I converted to a tiny purse (see photos), and I probably should’ve bought the “brass” color instead to match the antique gold hardware on the pouch. That said, I still think the "gold" tone works on my cosmetic pouch just fine.(2) This set includes just the 2 chains. If you want to convert a cosmetic pouch to a purse as I did in the photos, you’ll have to purchase the hooks that go on the bag (that the chains attach to) separately. However, if you want to use these chains on any existing handbag that already has hooks to attach the chains, you can use them immediately.

I ordered this to replace a broken handle on a vintage bag and it did the trick. It is nice and shiny, a true bright yellow gold. It is not super heavy. I'm not sure what the metal is, but this is a fairly lightweight chain even though it is chunky (it's about .5" wide). It serves its intended purpose just fine.

I wanted an 18" purse chain for my new bag, so I can carry it on my forearm when I wear my cape. The shoulder strap kept pulling the cape off my shoulder.There are a lot of choices in purse chains:I returned a very chunky cheap acrylic one. The shiny gunmetal gray color looked good, but the acrylic chain looked cheap. And I thought that the color might scratch off acrylic.Then I tried an 18" silver metal, but decided gold is the better choice to match the front clasp on my purse.And so, like Goldilocks, this is my third try, and it's perfect.This chain is over 1/2" wide, and chunky, giving a nice substantial look, compared to the shoulder-length chain that came with my bag, which is much thinner and doesn't look well-balanced.It's a nice soft gold color; not brassy yellow, and it feels very sturdy, but is lightweight, and therefore comfortable to carry.And when not carrying my purse on my forearm, the length of this chain is perfect for carrying it as an underarm bag. (For reference, my purse is a flat envelope style measuring 11" inches wide).And the unique 5" extender with three big pearls is an additional bonus. It can be used as a dangling charm, or to add a little extra feature on the purse chain.Highly recommended for its looks and versatility.

This chain and pearl combo is perfect for my KateSpade wristlet/purses. The chain is long enough so that I am able to wear it on my shoulder and the pearls add a touch of elegance to the whole look of my purse.

This set is decent and is ok to jazz up any bag. They are true in measurements and color. The clips are durable and easy to attach. The chain top handle is lightweight and seems to be hollow and may change colors as far as fading and chipping. It just feels cheap but looks somewhat ok and faux pearls are a nice size and seem to be solid but may chip with prolonged wear. It’s ok if you just want something cheap to jazz up a bag then this is great. It does look nice and I would recommend

Nice weight. Goes well with a lot of different bags due to the true gold color. I switched out a bag's strap with the larger chain and then added the shorter pearl chain onto it with a couple of charms. It turned out really cute - and easy to undo or move whenever I want to. I'm picky about gold tones, and I think this one looks classy.

This is very useful, as it could fit a lot of different bags. I like the weight of it and that it’s light enough to not make it hard to carry the bag but yet sturdy enough to go on a bag with a little weight on it I’m not really sure about the extra piece. it would make a nice key ring bet it’s wonky to open. The only real comment I have is the hardware on the end of the chain. It looks like a cheap key ring end.

I got this to see if it would work for my small purse. I was surprised on the quality of the chain. It has a bit of weight to it so you know it won’t brake easily. It is a bit on the chunky side but it can go with most styles of purses. You can even add the pearl extender to make it more feminine looking. The length is 17 inches plus 4.5-inch extender which is the perfect size for this chain. It was easy to attach to the purse. I should have gotten the silver so it matched my purses hardware but I have another purse in mind for this till the silver one comes. It matched the description in the ad.
