Beet root powder.
Read a few studies of beet root and the N.O (nitric oxide) boost it has been shown to provide. Decided to start making my own pre-workout stack so I know exactly what I was getting, and putting into my body. I knew this was going to be apart of "my" formula(beta alanine, citrulline malate, powdered gatorade mix, beet root powder). The beet root powder is a dark red color, and actually quite flavorful. Day 1, I took a lil scoop, I'd say about half a teaspoon, maybe less. Could tell a difference, not much, but it was more of a fuller pump. Today, I added a full teaspoon, and wow. Had an intense pump, muscle fullness and tightness. My vascularity was the best it has been ever. I'm not very vascular at all. Highly recommend, only problem I had was the bag. A little tough to close, however, I feel it's due to it not being closed before it is vacuum sealed, then powder creeping into path of the closer.

Gives me clean smooth energy
I've juiced beets before, but never tried beet powder. This is definitely an easier cleaner way for me to get my beet uptake rather than the mess of juicing the vegetable in a juicer. When I'm feeling lethargic or experiencing that afternoon lull, I'll add three teaspoons of the beet powder to some water and stir, then chug. Within a minute or two any mind fog I'm having clears up and I feel a little lift of energy. This isn't the kind of energy you get with an espresso where you're flying all over the place, but a clean smooth energy lift. The only thing to make note of is that the 100 mg bag doesn't last very long if you take this everyday. This means 3 teaspoons/1 tablespoon a day will probably last about two weeks. If you plan on taking less like say 1 teaspoon a day or just taking this a few times a week, then it should last well over a month.

Seems to be helping
I just got it a few days ago and I haven't noticed any blood pressure changes yet.But I can say that I have noticed an increase in energy and alertness. It seems to be easier to get going in the mornings. May just be my imagination but I feel "better". I'm guessing this means I'm getting some better blood flow to the brain but that's just speculation at this point.It mixes well with orange juice and I haven't tried anything else yet. The "dirt" smell some have an issue with is very mild, for me at least. I have juiced beets and they smelled stronger than the powder. It didn't change the taste of the juice very much and it was easy to drink.I will have a better idea of any positive effects after I have used the entire package. Hopefully I remember to update my review.

Fantastic, superb quality product
This beet powder by Bulk Supplements is just fantastic. There are no lumps, the powder is fine, not gritty. I mean, its beet powder so it definitely doesn't taste like chocolate, but I can honestly say it is not that bad. I cannot eat beets, I gag when trying to eat them, but this stuff I can take easily, even straight off the spoon (but much easier to just dump some in a smoothie or fruit juice). If you have never had beets before, it is a deep, strong, earthy flavor. I really want to get across that the quality of this is top notch. And I love the fact that on the label it has "Beet Root" and under "other ingredients" it has "none" :) No additives or fillers at all. This particular product I have is the 100g one, it has 28 servings listed, but that is for the 1/2 tablespoon portions. If using the 3/4 tsp servings as I do, it doubles the amount of servings to 56.
