Purchased these adorable double Pom Pom beanies for my two year old grandson. The yarn is high quality. They are soft, fit comfortably not overly snug and warm. The 4 colors are as advertised and gender neutral. Definitely recommend.

This set of four was a fantastic find! I have twin toddlers with rather large heads (90th + percentile) and these are so cute! The fleece on the inside is nice and thick, there is actually room for them to wear these for several winters. The pom poms are well attached and my girls love pretending to be bears in the snow.

As you can see from other photos, these have a slightly oblong shape, but they look normal when they are worn. They can accommodate hair in braids or ponytails if necessary. These are cozy and cute. Note that if you live/have your kids playing in an area and at times when owls are out (sunrise/sunset), pom poms on hats are targets for owl attack. Safety first after all.Aside from the safety caveat, the value is excellent, and the hats are all really well made - no dropped stitches and they don't seem to snag easily. They advise hand washing, but we will be using delicate cycle on cold. There is plenty of stretch even on an 8-year-old head, so I'm not going to worry if we get a little shrink.To that end, 6 is not the upper age limit on this hat. I've mentioned in other hat/helmet reviews that a child's head is 95% of its total growth by age 6, so if this hat is comfortable on your child at age 6, it will be fine at 8 or 9 too. The head grows in increments smaller than a centimeter each year after age 6, so don't worry that you won't get much use purchasing these for a 5-year-old. They'll fit as long as your child is willing to wear a pom pom winter hat. Good value, cute, and nicely made!
