This product really helped my algae take off in growth. I have really dark algae that I feed my corals and copapods.

Also cheap. It doesn't last long though so get a small bottle.

My Phytoplankton died after I gave it this product.

A 10 second read of the description would have enlightened the individuals that assume this is for houseplants they are barking up the wrong tree, but then again I suppose some of us need to be the dull blades in the drawer.I recently upgraded and thus moved a 20 gallon reef into a 75 gallon. My pod population was healthy, but to populate an additonal 55 gallons i was considering purchasing some type of food or pods, and came across this product. 1 bottle says it treats up to 60 gallons, so I added it to my sump. It was interesting as I monitored for about an hour, the activity of the pods in the chaeto and rocks in the sump definitely increased, likely feeding on this stuff which was great. I have a mixed reef including softies, LPS, and SPS, none of which showed any ill effect nor did my fish.Only side affect which I should have thought of was my protein skimmer had a brief spike and almost overflowed, likely due to the fact this product directs you mix it with newly mixed saltwater rather then what is already in the aquarium like I did which was on me. I'll update this review if/when i notice a change in phytoplankton growth and or population but I'm expecting just by their increased activity that this stuff really works.

This works well to grow phytoplankton.In case it isn’t obvious, this is not something you add to the aquarium. You use this to cultivate phytoplankton in separate containers then add the phytoplankton to the reef tank.In response to some who had issues with leaks, mine did arrived in good condition.
