I am a bit of a snob when it comes to paper, be it stationary, journals, or in this case, index cards. While these cards are a bit pricey, they are worth every penny if you like a nice, sturdy card that will hold up to whatever comes their way. They feel substantial in your hand, are a good neutral white and have just the right blend of smooth surface and texture for writing. They are thick enough so not even a sharpie will bleed through.If you enjoy writing, or appreciate fine quality, these are the cards for you. I have them in 3x5 for pocket use and 5x8 for desk use.Tip: Keep a stack of these on your desk for taking notes. They are much nicer to write on than a post-it note, and they are the perfect size for taking notes on a phone call, detailed task list, etc. At the end of the day, the sturdy paper is easy to run through my Doxie portable scanner to archive my notes.

I guess I'm the kind of person that will shop around a lot to find exactly what I need. I probably spend too much time comparison shopping before I pull the trigger. Even when I think I find what I want, the item just sits in my cart forever while I mull it over. After finally buying these cards, I have to say that they are well worth the search. If you just need basic index cards for ephemera, you could spend less and do all right. If you want a solid, heavyweight, thicker-than-average card, this is your ideal product. The quality is excellent -- not too porous, not too slick -- and they came really well-packaged too. I use these for sticker collages and small art projects. Both acrylic paint pens and alcohol markers deposit well and do not bleed through to the other side. One last thing I have found these are good for are to separate photos in archival boxes. I use glassine to put between older photographs and then I use these cards to divide the photo sets by year/event. I recommend these cards without reservation.

These 5x8 17 pt. Index cards are thick, sturdy, and are great for rubber stamping and mixed media, as especially as a base for collage. I like having them at the ready for when I have an art attack! Highly recommend.

I have been running an area for children at an annual Art Fair for over 30 years and use these cards for heavy duty electric spin art machines. I used to buy the index cards at the stationary store but over the years they got flimsier and flimsier and would not bear the weight of the paint. I started having to use two cards for each spin art made - they would fly off the spinner and wreck the painting. It caused added frustration and expense having to double up. And then, a few years ago, my husband found these! They are FANTASTIC cards - very sturdy and dependable. The company is GREAT! Fast delivery and packed with great care. Being able to order 1000 at a time is not only a money saver but you just can't beat the quality. They have many uses too - I have even used them as place cards - cut, folded and decorated and they stand up to anything! I also like to support small businesses whenever possible. This owner appreciates our business and sends a personalized note which is greatly appreciated in this day and age. I hope he never goes out of business!!!

These cards are fantastic...thick and a perfect size for my many to do lists I have to make.

I assumed when I bought these that they were in a wrapper similar to when u buy them in a store. However, they are sent loose; no rubber band or even zip lock band around them. The cards fell all over the floor when I opened the envelope. I did complain to the seller and he said he would mention, in the future the cards are mailed loose. I am disabled and had a booger of a time picking them up. The cards are thick and sturdy but they need to be shipped differently.
