Would buy again!!
It does stain like they warn but honestly for how much make I do on this thing it would probably stain anyway so it doesn't bother me! I found cream products work best but you can use powders if you use a sticky primer or a cream product under. This makes trying out new cosplay make up so much easier!!

It's ok. Doesn't clean well, but does clean.
So the paint goes on well, and it's nice to practice on because it's kinda child size. However, as you can see by the picture, it doesn't come off well. This picture was taken after an hr of scrubbing. I even tried nail polish remover, to no avail. Kinda disappointing, as it makes it distracting when trying to paint on it again. But it works, if not perfectly, so 3 stars.***after buying magic rub eraser and 91% alcohol***I did try this and it did work. BUT i cleaned about half of the head to see the difference and it took me about 15 mins of hard scrubbing. I'm practicing different looks with face paint, and I'm using high end products (not cheep starter sets) so the paint stains easily. I'm spending 45 mins to try and clean a head just so I can work on it again! Way too much. I suppose I can just rise it and paint again with the stains, so it still does work. That is why I raised it to 4 stars. I can't expect this product to be perfect, and it sure beats making my poor boyfriend's face red with having him try look after look with face paint. So all in all, good product. Not perfect, but good.

Mannequin is a SUCCESS!
I purchased did a product review in my last purchase and doing a 2nd one because I purchased again! I will be purchasing more of the mannequin heads in the near future when I start training. I purchased the mannequin to practice symmetrical eyebrows for alopecia and recovering breast cancer women that have lost eyebrows from chemo. This is a great mannequin to practice on. I am so confused by what many of you written about how bad this mannequin is. I think it is because many of you do not read instructions. If you want to be a success, you must read, conform, and follow instructions. Please read the instructions:1) Spray your mannequin with Aquanet heavy duty hairspray. Spray it down 3 to 4 times. Allow the spray to fully dry into or onto the mannequin product.2) After you are finished with your makeup practice you should clean it right away.3) To clean get makeup cotton wipes and pour 91% rubbing alcohol and you should start rubbing off the make up. Rub hard.4) You may also use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Use the eraser and rub off any deep smears that you can see faintly. For you great individuals that are smart, conform, and follow instructions......you will be a SUCCESS.For those of you that do not conform and cant follow instructions..... you will never be a SUCCESS.I don’t know why anybody is complaining about this great product!

Can we have more shade diversity.
This is a great practice piece. I just wish there was more shade diversity.

They shouldn't add makeup to the name!
I bought this because I wanted to practice makeup. I also bought it because I wanted something a little more realistic This product may work for face paint, I don't know, but it does not work for makeup. It's a hard plastic so any powder will fall off, if you can only use liquid products (which because of the plastic don't work that well either) then you can't practice makeup realistically! Also the eyebrows were carved in, and I did not like that at all. The cleaning, if it was cheap, wouldn't have been bad but because it's $40 I think it should be a little better, for the price, you should also be able to actually apply makeup on the head. I think it would be better if it was a silicone or a texture that was more skin like, combine that with the price and the realistic features of this face that would be a great product! Overall, I gave it one star because I couldn't even do what the company claimed I could do, apply makeup on the face.

Very VERY useful
I used this on a regular basis because there was a time in my life that I wanted to use this to practice makeup looks on and my face painting skills. This was very useful in my opinion, I lost it a long time ago so I'm sad. I used to practice my face painting skills on this and I was able to practice so much so that I was able to actually paint on real peoples faces. I even named it Emily LOL. This is one of my best purchases & I will buy another one in the future.

Quality head, but beware of staining!
I bought this to practice face painting designs for a small side business I'm starting and to then use it to take pictures to use as examples for advertising purposes and for kids to choose from. I used only professional paints such as TAG, Wolfe, and Mehron.PROS: Good size, sturdy even though you can't mount it to the table but it does have that white base that helps keep it upright unlike others that have a flat back and lie on a table, realistic features, reasonably priced.CONS: No instructions therefore if you have never used a mannequin head to practice on you are pretty much in the dark unless you Google instructions on how to clean, which I didn't think to do so, so my head stained pretty bad. You can't just use soap & water. Not even with a brillo pad. I even tried make-up remover. None of those worked. You can see in pictures 1 & 2 where I first used soap, water, make-up remover. Then I read the reviews here and used 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and a Mr.Clean Magic Eraser. After about 30 minutes of hard scrubbing and dying from the alcohol fumes the stains came off as much as they're going to. You can see in pictures 3 & 4 that the stains faded quite a bit, but I think I may be able to paint over the faint marks and the new art will cover it. Fingers crossed. Also, just a side note that the darker the face paint the harder it is to come off.OVERALL: I'm pretty disappointed in the clean-up efforts, but I'm not going to return it just yet until I see how the next paintings go.
