The historical context in Fitzgerald's work is extremely important, and without a book like this I feel A Level students won't be able to capture the essence of it at all. This supplementary text will highlight the details that students may miss, and accompanies the tragic chronology of the book very well.

Comprehensive notes- longer than the book, which I hated. Was reading for a gadsby-themed quiz. Wish I’d never bothered. Seriously tedious book. For commentary on US social themes go for Wizard if Oz instead.

As an initial guide I think this is adequate but it lacks depth and is not sufficiently detailed to provide little more than a cursory overview.

Really well organised. Links to characters and themes. Bought for my daughter. Includes some model answers link to the success criteria. Pages nicely set out.
