Our shower is about 4’ x 5’ (2 tiled walls and 2 glass) so the grab bar on the tile wall can’t be reached without having to step over the door’s bottom frame. My husband has a severe neuropathy in both legs so his mobility is getting worse all the time and he started needing something to ‘grab’ onto as he entered and exited the shower. These things are stuck so well that I’m not sure the included removal tool will work easily. The locking tabs are pulled up to install a bar but the bars were pretty well stuck before I even tried to push the tabs down. The tabs take a good bit of muscle with both thumbs for me (78 years old) but I could use both thumbs because I didn’t have to hold the bar in place. They’ve stayed in place and feel really safe. I didn’t try them on any tile but while our tile is fairly smooth, it’s not the old-time glossy stuff. Another reviewer mentioned some sort of film made by 3M that could be used between these suction cups and tile that’s not real smooth. I highly recommend these grab bars—unequivocally for glass.

They are well put together and easy to put up. I like the being able to move them if necessary with no problem. If you have minor balance issues, these are a good fit and you can take them with you if you move to a new house. Price is right. These are not meant to hold a person’s whole weight but I appreciate them and at a good value for 2.

These are great for a solid surface application (might not be as good on small tiles)! Applied to a continuous vinyl shower enclosure they are great! Good abilty to stick to the surface, and will stay in place for a good long time. Easy to install, good value and makes the enclosure safer!

Had an initial problem installing, in that the securing tabs wouldn't engage. Sent a note to the vendor and received this response:We read your statment, we have understood you issues here. This year we have updated suction cup, which became more powerful, but downside is little hard to push down both latches. On the other hand, if you sacrificed less vacuum pressure to lock down latches, then it may end up with few hours attachment.So, to correct this, here is the advise if you could try it this way: First,lubricate latches joint area with soap or any lubrication; then, rinse suction with running warm water to soften suction, preventing water run over latches. Finally, prepare a dry towel with you, attach handle onto wall, give it little presure, as near the wall as possible to squeeze out air, then get dry towel on latches and use your palm to push down.After following these instructions, the handles engaged securely and have been very stable for 3 weeks. Even moved the location twice and was able to secure without the extra steps noted above.Very satisfied with this product.

So I purchased this for my husband who started to experience mobility issues and having problems getting up from the toilet. When we received this, I cleaned the back of the bar and the tiles per instructions and lined it up and closed the tabs which was VERY HARD TO CLOSE but I figure that would mean that it will suction well to the wall. It worked great for TWO DAYS. Then it started to slide down the wall. I figured I may have dive something wrong so I re-affixed to the wall and pushed on it and it didn’t budge. WELL, in the middle of the night I hear a plop because the grab bar just FELL OFF THE WALL by itself. Once again, I re-affixed thinking maybe somehow an air bubble was lodged in between the wall and grab bar. Unfortunately it happened again that night - OFF THE WALL it came with no one using it. I am giving it one more try and if it doesn’t stay put it’s being returned.

At first I thought these were excellent and the exact thing we needed for a little light support. I wish I could say they were reliable and super stable. One of them keeps falling off the wall - the lever won’t engage completely. No way to contact seller for replacement. Under product support it is “self-troubleshooting”, it doesn’t address my specific problem and references all troubleshooting for a screw-mounted product, including needing a drill for installation, etc. These are better for someone who is relatively stable on their feet - do not rely upon it to really hold anyone up if there is a slip. It’s more for helping to ensure they won’t slip in the first place, but if/when it pops off the wall, it could cause a very dangerous situation. They are installed correctly - on the tile, not on a grout line, nothing to hinder the suction cups from a tight seal. One of them works reasonably well, but it has lost suction and come off the wall as well. I have found that occasional (intentional) re-positioning helps it stay in place better.

I was able to mount the grab bars in my shower area in a secure manner in a matter of minutes, leaving me with a stable support system and a tight hold.
