Bright enough for my front door as I live in the Country where there are no lights . I have it in a normal fixture . It turns on well if you get within 20 feet more or less . Why one star off ? A few times it has just kept going on and off ? I cleaned the fixture and there was no wind to cause any motion . Trying to figure out if it is defective or something like a spider is inside the fixture causing it or maybe a cat or other small animal I can't see out there when I check in the middle of the night as the light is between me and a window when I sleep . Will update I see they have a one year guarantee otherwise its a great product . I have had issues with motion bulbs bulbs or devices where you need to tape part of the eye . But I can't for the life of me see anything that would trigger it . Sometimes deer come up and eat the shrubs but you would think I would see them I have cameras taping for security in that area and their negative too . Not even any branches or leaves in the area plus there was no wind . I conteacted the vendor to give them a chance to react but weeks later still no response.I’m also searching for a version that is not light native and detects and reacts to motion in all light scenarios. Our laundry is very dim in the day but the light won’t come on (understandably). I got no response to that question either.I hate to mention this issue in a review may be the only way to get a positive response.The light ps that work are super bright. We suspected one was over sensitive as it detects movements in rooms close to its location, but it really does switch off if you stand very still or creep up to it in the net room.
