Lemonhead Sour Candy, Individually Wrapped, Bulk 4 Pounds

I bought these with an eye for nostalgia. I fondly remember these from my youth and just bought them for the candy jar that I (a grandpa) keep in my great room. I keep a couple candy jars up high where the grandkids have to have their parents permission to get at them and I was shocked how much they loved them. My kids and my grandkids have all enjoyed them and I am now on my second bag. These were the Sour Patch Kids of a generation before Sour Patch Kids and have been a huge hit. I like the idea of having them individually wrapped so that you don't pass germs. And the flavors are as good as I remember.

Sour, lemony, individually wrapped!

Lemonheads are sweet, sour/tart, then sweet again. These have a chemical taste when first placed in your mouth, kind of like there was an ingredient error, then you get the sour. All of the candies in the bag taste this way. I would not recommend this seller. I purchased a smaller bag from a different seller. After running out of those, I purchased from this seller. I would not recommend these if you are looking for the authentic Lemonhead experience/flavor.

Finally found the individual wrapped Lemonheads..What's not to love ??

These are the big fat Lemonheads I would see in liquor stores after school as a child. Like Jawbreaker sized. They are not like the modern peanut-sized Lemonheads in a box that you can chew by the handful.

I am addicted to the larger Lemonheads so I thought I'd go for a cost saving with this company. Bad choice! The outer layer of the candy is supposed to be soft. These were hard as a rock. The outer layer was not the bright yellow it should be but the darker yellow like they were in a hot place that melted them. Annoyed that I know have to buy another batch to feed my addiction. Going back to my original company so I can save my teeth.
