Lovely scent but expensive shampoo
From the moment I opened the bottle, the scent stood out - it’s got a deep, masculine fragrance that reminds me of a good aftershave or something you'd find in a high-end barbershop. It’s fresh, slightly herby and lingers just the right amount after rinsing, which I love. The shampoo itself is clear and has a nice gel-like consistency. It lathers up incredibly well with only a small amount, creating a rich foam that feels really satisfying to work through the hair and scalp. I was genuinely impressed by the texture and how squeaky clean my hair felt afterwards. The flip-top bottle is easy to use in the shower and has a premium look and feel, which adds to the overall experience. Performance-wise, I have noticed my hair feeling a bit fuller and with more volume after each wash. While I’m not expecting miracles when it comes to thickening, there is a definite sense of improved texture and condition, and my hair feels softer and healthier overall. It does rinse out easily and doesn’t leave any residue behind, just a clean, refreshed scalp. It’s good to know that the formula is free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, synthetic dyes and other harsh ingredients. The shampoo contains caffeine, black tea, amino acids and panthenol, all said to help strengthen hair and support growth. While I can't say for certain how much of a long-term difference this will make just yet, I do feel that it's a well-thought-out formula that offers more than just a basic clean. That said, it’s quite expensive at just over £20 for a 250ml bottle, and although the quality is evident, that price point might make it more of a treat than an everyday purchase.

Lovely fragrance
This might be one of the most expensive shampoos I've ever used. It's very nice though. The shampoo lathers up very easily. I only needed to use a small amount. The luxurious scent is lovely but not too overpowering. After rinsing it left my hair feeling nice and clean. Overall I'm very happy with this shampoo. Recommended.

Fabulous feeling/smelling shampoo, not cheap but well worth it in my opinion.
I absolutely love this shampoo, I've used a lot of different shampoos in my time but this is far and away my favourite so far. Will it prevent balding? I would highly doubt it, could it slow down thinning? I suspect you'd have to use it for a long time to notice any difference, certainly much longer than the 1 Month requirement for a Vine review so who knows. Does it thicken what hair you do have? Perhaps ever so slightly, I have very fine hair so difficult to say but it does feel great after. So after all that how am I praising this shampoo so highly, it is rather pricey after all? Two reasons, first the scent, wow this stuff smells sooooo nice. I can't think how do describe the smell but it's kind of herbal, very refreshing and I just absolutely love it! Secondly how nice it feels to massage into your scalp, now as mentioned I have very fine thin hair but somehow in use this stuff makes it feel as though I have a thick head of hair and really lathers up wonderfully without needing much at all, it really feels great! Aside from this I really like the packaging, it all looks very classy and easy to use with the pop lid. Currently priced at £20.75 for non prime members or £16.39 for members of prime, it is far from cheap, but considering you need to use far less than usual I think it is well worth it for such a great product, I will be buying more when I run out. If it benefits my hair in the long run well I will consider that an added bonus. Top marks.

Murdock London Shampoo – Sophisticated Masculine Scent & Cleanses Hair Well
This bottle of black tea strengthening shampoo by Murdock London arrived without any seals to prevent spillages, but the lid was securely in place so there weren’t any leaks. The bottle contains 250ml of shampoo and the bottle feels quite premium in a dark blue colour. The shampoo is easily dispensed via the flip open lid and the bottle is easy enough to handle in the shower. I ordered this for my partner and he very much likes the shampoo. It has a male orientated scent which is both complex and smells quite aftershave like, lingering in your hair for a good while after washing – I would say that it smells like cedar like. The shampoo feels very luxurious and is definitely a premium product. The shampoo has a caffeine infused formula to help create fuller and thicker looking hair. It is also PH balanced to ensure it is suitable for sensitive skin with a gentle formula. The shampoo doesn’t contain any nasties including substances such as parabens, phthalates, PEGs, sulphates and synthetic dyes. It is also petroleum and lanolin free and suitable for vegetarians (not suitable for vegans though). The shampoo is clear in colour and has a medium gel consistency. The black tea delivers caffeine to promote hair growth and strengthens hair follicles. It is also enriched with amino acids and panthenol to help nourish, protects and promotes a filler thicker look. It lathers reasonably well, although the lack of sulphates means that it doesn’t lathers as much. The shampoo is ideal for all hair types and my partner said that it left his hair feeling cleansed and he didn’t have any adverse reactions to the shampoo. Priced at £16.39 as a one-off purchase or £14.75 if you sign up to Amazon’s subscribe and save scheme at the time of reviewing, this is quite expensive for a bottle of shampoo, but the shampoo is lovely quality and smells amazing so I would be happy to recommend it.

WOW, this black tea shampoo is quite effective in giving my hair softness and shine. The aroma is awesome; it has a slight floral-citrus-black tea fragrance to my nose.

So the actual shampoo is nice. It has a fresh, tree scent to it that is refreshing but not overwhelming and does not stick around long after the shower is over. The thickness is good, not to thin that its running everywhere but thin enough to get good spread without needing a ton of product. It leaves my hair clean of product and not weighed down - not sure how 'strengthen' it is though. My biggest need in shampoo is volumizing as my hair is pretty thin and this did a just OK job. Not the most volumizing I've had but when paired with a volumizing conditioner is acceptable. Bottle is a bit on the smaller size for the price. The seller ships this (via Amazon) with no plastic wrap or even tape on the flip top which resulted in my first bottle being half spilled in the mailer. IMO this is a manufacturing issue since they choose how to send it to Amazon for shipping and they choose to not secure it at all. Amazon was good at doing an exchange and the second bottle thankfully arrived unspilled but this is a potential issue to look out for.

Great shampoo, makes my hair silky

Packaging is super important and this time it missed this mark. Top was broken open and soapy product was everywhere. Half of the bottle, gone immediately. What was left smells great though!

Really like the scent of this shampoo, while it does lean to the masculine side I think it can definitely be used as a unisex product. It lathers well and rinses cleanly, and doesn't leave my hair feeling dry or straw-like as some shampoos do. For me personally, as I have very long hair, I didn't feel like it did much for me as far as volumizing. However, my partner with shorter hair did note that it gave some added fullness to their hair which was appreciated.
