This is a bind up that contains two prequels to The Dark Crown Series. They are available in kindle format as well but having the paperback is brilliant.These stories give you a look at the sisters’ origins, what really happened during the reign of the Oracle Queen, and really give you a look into the past of Fennbirn.In the first story, The Young Queens, Mirabella, Arsinoe, and Katharine were together and loved each other. You get a look at their relationship leading up to their claiming ceremonies. This is their story before they knew what the future held.The second story, The Oracle Queen, is the story of Elsabet otherwise known as the mad queen. Everyone knows the story of how she went nutty and orchestrated the slaying of three houses. However, the real story is nothing like the tale that is told.These stories were so much fun. I was so happy to be back in this world with the characters and stories. I loved this entire series and really enjoyed these stories as well.I definitely recommend this whole series!

Great easy read but farthest thing from boring! I can't get enough I'm reading these books in less than a day because I can't get enough! send help!

I felt that it answered a lot of questions I had in the series about the oracle queen and I loved reading about the baby queens! I’d love to see if Kendare would write a full prequel about the oracle queen in this book and/or about the baby queens in the full series, as both were very intriguing. This book served its purpose: it gave me voluntary information about the books without being a necessary read for the rest of the series.However, I think it was too short (I’m nitpicking, I’m loving this series). Please make these full blown prequels!Verdict: Need these in a full novel.

Bought this book with little information on what it was about and I was delightfully pleased with how good it was! I devoured the series.

I absolutely adored this book! It was great to get some background on the triplets and the oracle queen.Kendare weaves a feeling a magic into her books that traps you into finishing them. This book is no exception.Just remember, you can’t believe everything you hear. Not everyone is who you think they are.

Nesse me surpreendi positivamente! Gostei muito de conhecer a vida das rainhas na infância e como isso afetou a personalidade de cada uma na vida adulta. The Oracle Queen também foi tão envolvente que eu fiquei querendo mais, quero saber mais sobre as rainhas anteriores e os desafios que elas enfrentaram.

Bought this book for my daughter for Christmas as she had been looking to complete the set. Very quick delivery and arrived in good condition. My daughter loves the series.

Perfect for fans of the three dark crowns series! There is lots of background information in these novellas, for example Arsinoe's attempt to flee or how Mirabella tried to drown Luca the first time they met wach other. I think it is really interesting to read about the Oracle Queen too.
